What do you think?
Do you believe it's still bad even After 2 years?

I think it's a perfect conclusion to an Eternal Masterpiece.

Not perfect but no where near as bad as people made it out to be. The main story points made sense but the execution could of been a bit better. + the last chapter was a bit rushed and ymirs and mikasa’s plot line didn’t rlly make any sense. Apart from that is was fine. 6/10 ending imo.

Yeah
it just needs to be fleshed out a little bit more.

Wait, weren't you that toxic COTE fan who hated Aot ending.
Why did you choose the "perfect conclusion"? not that I disagree though.

The story is thematically perfect but the writing of the final volume needs to be reworked or polished. It's by far Isayama's weakest. This is why I'm hopeful anime will do the same ending but better.

It was a good ending. Far from perfect but I never really understood the backlash against it. Then again I didn't live and breathe AOT for my entire adolescence like most of you did so I didn't have impossible expectations.

In my book, Worst ending are usually where plot twist happen at last chapter. I consider it one of worst writing tricks. It basically works on shock factor gimmick to attract audience (but attracting audience at last chapter is by itself a futile concept). Happy or sad it doesn't matter. A ending will feel rushed or poorly executed regardless.

Also those extra page is sad attempt at expanding the ending because it doesn't expand anything rather makes everything feel more rushed, poorly executed and raises more question marks. Personally that is what made me hate the series so much more than actual ending before

ONLY YMIR KNOWS!!, If u are happy with such a ending.

I think on paper it is perfect, and there is no other way the story could end. However, the execution of the brilliant ideas presented in the ending is what holds it back from being perfect, and this is sometthing I hope the Anime still fix, improving the pacing and fleshing out the more controversial stuff that didn't have enough time to develop or breathe. Overall, it's a good ending but could have been better with more time in the oven and more clear explanations for the ambitious stuff it tries to pull off, a 7/10 ending to a 10/10 series.

I never thought it was bad. It is impossible to satisfy everyone. There are people who hate it and people who love it. That's the fate of most shows.

Bruh, what is with these poll options? These options are only on one extreme end of 2 spectrums. There are people with more mixed and nuanced thoughts on this.

But yeah, I think the ending is flawed, but pretty good and satisfying overall. A lot of the flaws are blown out of proportion by the fandom or just straight up don't exist, but there are quite a few elements that make me understand why people hate it so much.

I love the show/manga. It’s definitely one of my favorites, but I’d be lying if I said that the ending was good. Like in all honesty I think the ending is atrocious, but everything before volume 30 is peak imo.

It's a thematically perfect ending, which just needs to be fleshed out more in the anime and all the rushed content needs to be expanded more upon along with some minor dialogue changes.

Straight up facts man.
I personally love the ending cause it's the most logical/sensible one and yeah it's nearly impossible to satisfy everyone. Plus there will always be one less number of vocal minority group who will keep hating on something just for the sake of hating on it, as if it's their full time job and will refuse to move on.

Yeah there are some minor dialogue changes and all the rushed content needs to be fleshed out more for better clarity.

Also, btw there is a good news that it seems like Mappa are gonna animate an important scene from ch 1 into the anime, which was unfortunately skipped by WiT.

Yeah it was a great ending and it's just that those vocal minority group edge lords are disappointed because AoT didn't have a happy fairy tail ending and since their fav theories didn't come true, while completely forgetting everything else in the story and so they are still pissed by this and are refusing to move on.

i don't think it's perfect for me so many things are rushed and unanswered and the only thing i hate the mosy about ending is last chapter last panels where Mikasa get married that scene is literally so heartbreaking and from my point of view that scene was unnecessary there is no need to add those extra panels

The ending was bad at least for me, just because of ch 139, if they had hinted sooner that he was gonna be like this, I couldve been prepared and it would make more sense imo; if it is just like that with no prior warning, it just leaves a shit taste in my mouth

I didn't think it was bad two years ago when trolls posting spoilers forced me to read the manga ending. But I do think it was a little too convoluted. But I'm used to that sort of ending from japanese media.

Yes, it is. A conclusion that's rushed and half-hassled in trying to please the fans instead of having the balls of sticking to its original intentions.

It doesn't matter, the ending was shit and that's all there is.

Wait hold on, I don't quite understand the meaning of your statement. So basically what you are saying is that Mikasa should have killed herself as well after killing Eren? Is this what you are saying?
And, you do realise that Eren anyway didn't have much time left for him due to the curse while on the other hand, Mikasa was neither a shifter, nor was she under the effect of any curse. So Idk what you are trying to say by, "She should have joined him untill their death?"

No matter what anyone said, the ending of the manga was definitely not bad. Mikasa killed eren, eren lost, after eren died, the wars continued, just like erwin smith said, and finally, eren put the scarf on mikasa again for the last time. Everything is as it should be finished.

i think the ending is shit its a downgrade version of zero requiem it didn't even feel tragic they tried so hard to make it tragic by turning it into tragic love story but the problem is AOT is never really about love story. if they had more built up about this and answer many plot holes its going to be a perfect tragic ending for a tragic story it can be an easy 10/10 manga but because the ending it become 9/10 at max but i personally think we couldn't just forget the story before the ending so aot is 8.5/10 at least and 9/10 at max
