I thinkThe character designs could have been better , it's soccer . Long hairs can become hindrance in soccer. How can they even see? most of the guys have their face covered with hair.

Tbh it seems like a lot of characters designs are based on other mangas.
Nagi looks like fucking kaneki
That one dude looks kinda like ichigo
And another looks and acts like bakugo

The only character designs I don't particularly like are Gagamaru and Sae. The rest are fine, even Ego.

Chigiri cutting off his hair short into a more aerodynamic shape would be his "awakening". It'd be like Rock Lee taking off his weights.

I don't like his hair. It's like he is trying to pass his bangs off as sideburns.

I liked the character design. Not to mention Chigiri Hyouma wouldn't have been as succulent, without his long hair. So putting aside how inconvenient and unrealistic it would be for soccer, I am very glad they went with this approach.
