I don't know about you, but i think the pacing has been pretty fast. I don't know if it's also like this in the LN, but at least from what i've seen so far, i think the pacing lowers the quality of the show. We're at ep 4, and Aileen and Claude got married already.

I think this pacing is actually normal compared to other otome anime. They usually drag them waaay too much. This one is actually fun for once.

From what I understand they did all of volume 1 so far but also hit all the important plot points so I think it's fine.

I feels rushed because I wasn't expecting what happened this episode happening before the season finale.

Does no-one recall the mid-season drag of My Next Life as a Villainess.

Not to mention the tedious faux harem stuff.

No messing with Aileen on the case.

It was either Aileen's brother, or the third crown prince.

I mean most ln adaptations adapt about 3 volumes per 12 eps, so this is very normal. also from what I gathered this adaptation has hit pretty much all the important parts pretty well

I’m finding the pacing perfect so far! Haven’t watched the most recent episode yet, though.

Update: after watching ep 4 I can kind of see what people mean, I didn’t expect some of that until the finale! That being said, as long as they keep the scenarios coming and make it fun I really don’t mind at what pace they do it!

See I thought it was Aileen that she was going undercover. 😂😂😂

It's on the fast side, but it definitely isn't bothering me.
It feels more like a breath of fresh air, and it keeps your attention on the show.

idk...I personally like it because I despise slow burns and plots that barely progress with over the top drama. I quite enjoy the characters and how Aileen goes about predicting and solving issues. she's very active and that makes the show more interesting.

no, way too rushed. I read the LN before and they skipped most of my favourite parts. They cramped so many chapters into episode 4. I wished they had spread it out a little more and focused more on character development because right now I don't really care about the characters or what happens to them.

Until Episode 3 it didn't feel like that all to much.
But Episode 4 was waaaay to rushed. At the End of Episode 3, Cedric was a mess, Lilia seemed to have ulterior motives and Aileen remembered Keith's betrayal from the game. So I would've expected Aileen to investigate the matter and bring Keith to his senses while also showing some development on the "villains", like Lilia's goal or Cedric dealing with the aftermath of the party.
Instead, Cedric has suddenly gone mad, while Lilia supports him and aims to kill Claude. The romantic development between Aileen and Claude was also waaaay to fast. And there was also so little insight on Keith's mindset and past, as well as the plan to stop the black mailer. What even were the documents they took from him? And who is Marcus, mentioned on Aileen's note in the "Marcus Route" - the silent bodyguard who assisted Cedric?
I really like this show, but Ep 4 was a mess. Maybe, I'll read the LN if it's better there. And the remaining episodes have to justify the pacing now!

I second this! The series is way more fun and lovely.

If this were animated like the rest of them, people will simply get tired of the same animation and will likely compare it to a similar one.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Episode 4 feels like it should've been epi 12.
1 . Show has no world building - Would've loved to see how society functions and how the demons are viewed or Claude is viewed
2. Skipped cool moments:
- Don't know if they are in the LN but i would've loved to see her cooking sweets , slowly befriending the demons;
- Would've loved to see how she teaches Belzebub manner and the way he slowly gets better.
- Would've loved to see how her cosmetics brand grows, how it is introduced to the public and the feedback from it . Maybe also how she came up with the name
- Would've loved to see how the Prince fires her friends and how she recruits them . Or the effects of their engagement falling apart as shown through other characters. Like they make a main point that most of her "business" is taken over by the Prince and she cannot compete in the same market anymore so she has to start from scratch .
- The Ball itself was lacking also . At the end Claude mentions he kept his promise and was a good escort but he barely did anything except breaking the glass ceiling and restoring it with magic. Would've been good if we had some gossip before on how he is a evil/grotesque demon and people being afraid to see him or something and then he shows up and shatters all expectation with the way he looks , speaks , acts.

Anyway , this post is long enough . I need to know, does the LN do justice to this plot or is it as rushed as the show ?

YES, JUST YES.

Literally they finished manga in 4 ep. everything seems so unreasonable because of the things they skipped ._.

Far too rushed. The final confrontation between Lila and Aileen could have been very good, but only if it was well set up, a few passing references was not enough. The last few events seemed to come out of nowhere.

oh also rebuilding the castle part get cut as well, demon lord bonding with villager and granma also cut.

they follow the manga.

if the studio follow LN it need 25 episode or more.

Pacing is very good usual plot says take 12 ep create some throbbing moments and then refer to read light novel to see more

But nowadays most ln couple usually start dating at 4 or 5
This one have chivalry of failed knight case
This keeps romance as well as plot progression really good
I am actually genuinely interested in it even more after watching action anime this season

I do think it's fast but the manga was just as fast as the anime. I mean there's only three books. Most anime do 5 or 6 volume per anime.

I'd say they're going same pace as "So I'm a Spider So What?". They're covering 4 eps per light novel volume by looks of it, I've just finished reading the 3rd volume and honestly anime-only are in for a treat.

If you want more detailed experience I highly recommend reading the novels. It will be a packed series for sure. You thought this was the climax, but the story has only just begun.

Yes, It is rushed but still enjoyable nonetheless. The part after the manga ends is actually better so I don’t mind.

That being said, it's a good idea to read the manga not because you won’t understand the anime if you don’t but i genuinely think it’s funnier and it’s only 13 chapters.

It's a little bit too fast, but I'm not sure how they could have stretched the first arc without padding it. The necessities of squashing an LN into anime episodes sometimes leads to them having to make tough choices and not necessarily having enough time to adapt everything.

Still a pretty fun series, though definitely carried by Aileen just absolutely being the best - really proactive, go-getting, clever, and simultaneously a goofball. in a weaker season a Best Girl contender.

nah, I don't think it's rushed, I loved the pace of the first 4 episodes, I just feel that it didn't need the rest of the season, I'd be happy with just the first 4. um actually considering dropping it now as I'm not quite invested in the new plot and it smells too much harem/NTR for my taste

if I were to organize the season, I'd try pushing for 5 episodes for the first arc, and in the middle of the 5th start introducing the next arc, the way this was done was a total fail as a cliff hanger for me
