Should I read all of Bleach before watching this or up to a certain point?

You should read until Lost o Secret Agent (i don't remember) arc (if you want to, i didn't like it at all) which is the arc before this sequel which in manga is the Thousand Year Blood War arc, search it in google to see which chapters does it cover this before arc and read until there then start watching this animated sequel.

You can read up to chapter 479. The new arc starts with 480.

You can either stop it there and watch the Anime or read the whole Manga if you are impatient.

Simply read them all until chapter 479 which is a chapter just before this anime adaptation :)

Read till Chapter 479...although I prefer Anime despite the beautiful art of Kubo tite..it's just that Anime OST and OP/Ed are top tier in bleach..if you don't watch it please at least listen to them..

You HAVE to read the prequel stuff or else you won't feel or understand anything, powers or old references or old characters coming back etc. So read upto 479(Tybw from 480) or till the end if you want to

Trust me when I say reading Bleach is much quicker than watching. The anime will still be here another 2 years(52 episodes into 4 cours). You have plenty of time to jump on the Bandwagon. Read until chapter 480

read manga upto chapter 479 and watch fight scene in YouTube this will give you best and fast experience

Yeah why bother watching/reading anime/manga you are interested in. Just watch summary on YouTube better yet read the Wikipedia plot of them, because consuming content is way important than watching and enjoying them.

Not that I'm expecting you to, but I hope you eventually decide to filter out all the filler nonsense from the Bleach anime later and have a go at it. If you can look past all the screwups, there's so much feels in the Bleach prequels that you just can't get from reading it (I think anyway).

Yeah definitely thinking of doing that one day.
