Worth watching?

Edens zero is one of those anime/mangas that I hear about every now and then and tbh almost everything said about it is positive, just wondering how does this anime fair to other shounen and what’s up with 7.32 rating what do you guys think ?

Its just fine. I really liked Fairy Tail so I was excited, but the characters honestly aren’t very interesting. I gave it a 6 but it might be like a 5.5 for me. Nothing really grips you in to the show to make it good to me

I liked the first season. I heard the manga is actually really good. It’s a huge improvement writing wise from Fairy Tail, his previous work. And I did like Fairy Tail… but it did have its faults.

I loved it personally, it's actually what convinced me to try Fairy Tail (which isn't nearly as good imo.) A lot of people are quick to judge this show because the characters look the same as Fairy Tail and there's fan service, especially early on. The world building and character development is fast paced and the action is good. You'd be surprised how dark EZ gets... especially what's to come in season 2. Unlike FT, characters actually die and villains stay evil.

I recommend it even though it's predictable. Similarly to things like Fairy Tail (the author's previous work) or Black Clover it's a show that you can just turn your brain off while watching

6,5/10, but would recommend

Also what's up with the mc not having any interaction with humans before the sub-mc comes and then immediately becoming a generic pervert?

watched all of fairy tail, read the rave master manga, and watched all of Edens zero. Of these three choices the last one you should pick is Edens zero. felt like I was just watching fairy tail in outer space but even worse. Also, the friendship solves everything/ friendship = power is even worse in this compared to fairy tail. the main characters goal is to literally have 200 friends. Every person he meets he either asks them to be friends or tries to become friends with them. Characters are almost knockoffs of fairy tail members as well. But, if you don't care that much about what I said and want to watch something where you can basically turn your brain off then it's not bad. Also, rave master is actually a pretty good manga to read.

i liked it it feels like fairy tail and one piece mixed with some ci-fi.
It has nice animation, and has some funny moments, can be emotional too so I think it is worth watching.

I personally had fun with it, I'd definitely recommend it if you want to relax and empty your mind. On the other hand, if you prefer a plot-heavy anime with twists and drama, it's not for you.

It's mid. Not bad but not great either. Fairly easy to watch with a decent enough premises.

The it's Fairy Tail in space. For me, also as a manga reader, the story is a bit worse than in Fairy Tail. I would recommend it more as an anime where you can relax a bit (not so emotional). If it doesn't bother you, feel free to watch it

I loved Fairy Tail and I loved Edens Zero so imo it's worth to try and see if you like it

I really enjoyed it. It’s “stupid” funny, so if you want intelligent humor then it’s not for you. A kid living with robots who never interacted with humans but wants to be friends with everyone. Lots of dumb gags. If you want to think then pass. A nice break from dramas.

definitlly worth it, first season is kind of boring but it has it's moments but season 2 and everything ahead of it will be absoloutly amazing, you should try it but it has a slow start so thats myb a little letdown. Also i would recommend the manga as it's not censored, is better paced and art is amazing

it's basically a speed run version of fairy tail, in space, with very often cameos.

Main guy's whole existence is literally to make as many friends as he can lol so friendship is power is obviously still there.

Still, it doesn't beat around the bush and isn't actually afraid to get dark. It took fairy tail pretty much until the end of its run for people to straight up start getting murdered.

I liked it, and am waiting for the 2nd season as I know what will be happening slightly after from where s1 ended but no idea past that.

If your just looking for something to binge for a few days then sure but as an anime with actual good story and substance not really. with that being said it's not bad or anything but your just not gonna find anything monumental or great about it.

It depends, it’s a predictable shonen, if you like friendship power, go for it xD
I got attached to the characters, and I did appreciate it, it was ok
Or maybe it’s just the nostalgia from little me watching fairy tail

No. Super cliche and childish writing at points. It also tries to be more mature and serious but is always under cutting itself with boob jokes or other immature humour. In one episode, they make a mass murderer piss his pants instead of killing him or turning him in to the authorities.

At first I was skeptical, but I finished the series in 2 days. So, I can say it's worth watching. I like that despite the fact that Shiki seems to me a mediocre person, when he puts his head to work, it's like he becomes something else.
I was happy to hear L'arc en Ciel on the soundtrack of the anime.
