I swear every anime I watch now, if there is reference to goblins, I think of how goblin slayer goblins were. And Im not even thinking about it in a kinky way. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I had this exact thought when he first found them eating the crops like a wild animal that's a far cry from goblin slayer.

I also understand what you're saying 🙂 but...
what's the connection of this series to goblins?!
Anyway, it just means that you probably have a lewd mind (IMHO 'no offensive implications') or are traumatized after watching those goblins in goblin slayer... (P.S. I'm not a psychiatrist)

You mean Rimuru's anime? That's one way to put it.

@iamlegend9999 If you don't want to, just stay away from similar stories and go to the opposite, light -hearted stories. lmao

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I think we all think Goblin Slayer when it comes to goblins, but lets face it, generally goblins are either given jiggle physics or minor scenes as level up fodder in essentially all other fantasy anime.

Bro true. But yeah in both cases you see them in other fiction and are like nah somebody about to die then they are defeated easily or in the bunnies case are petted normally and are adorable. It doesn't bother me at all but it's kinda interesting.

I feel that way too. Whenever I hear about Goblins, I immediately remember the first ep of Goblin Slayer. I hate Goblins except from Tempest City/Family ones.

Kind of late for me to mention this but...
Goblins in folklore, depending on the type, were either brutal killers in the case of redcaps, or benevolent tricksters in the case of hobgoblins, in all lore goblins don't procreate via the "goblin slayer" method, and can be both brutally evil and hunting down humans, to actually beneficial, being somewhat a member of the family and protecting your homestead and even helping out with some minor chores, depending on their nature.

That's bowderization i think the term is, aka hollywood (or in the case of orcs, probably a mix of D&D and japanese media) fiction, the origin of the orc as we currently call them as a species is often thought to be the lord of the rings, in which orcs are genderless, and are more closer to imps aka demons than monsters, usually said to be crafted with magic though some estimates are they are made from elven corpses.
Generally speaking it must be remembered that orcs are not implied to be pig like in their origin, but more similar to orcs from the elder scrolls games, green, large creatures with large portruding teeth that look like much larger goblins, and the link between goblins and orcs goes back to the original name "orcus", which can be translated from latin to mean "goblin, spectre or hell-devil", which i believe is the origin of the term orc, however there is some implication that they may originate from the tale of beowulf as a unique subspecies similar to elves and dwarves.
