I imagine Guy comes from a line of Taijutsu masters but I didn't watch Boruto and I'm not sure they'd ever show something like Guy's grandad teaching his dad when his dad was younger. First person to come to mind would be Kabuto but some other decent options would be Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Sasori, and Orochimaru.

...no? He taught Naruto and Pain, and Naruto essentially built off of what Jiraiya taught him. Teaching doesn't necessarily make you strong but Jiraiya can fend for himself, he literally took on Naruto's beast form by himself (not the full form, but thats good enough) without any good counters for it. He's definitely stronger than the 4th hokage imo.

Whatever dude. All Minato has shown he can do is use that one jutsu that lets him teleport and that other jutsu that killed him. Jiraiya is at the very least on his level, since ninjas generally work in 3 man teams and the only ones that don't are rogue ninja and ones powerful enough to stop them. Minato's most bad ass moments are when hes already dead with unlimited chakra. Meanwhile Jiraiya fought Pain by himself for an extended time in Pain's own territory.
