I hate to be asking this because im a sub type of person but i saw that Giancarlo Esposito voiced a character in the dub version. Now im deeply in curiosity to see Gus as an anime character but it do ring my bell that Kakashi's seiyuu and Nanami Kento's seiyuu are among the original cast. i will let you guys decide

Dub is the one i watched on netflix they are both good i usually watch whatever i come across first

I think the English voice acting was pretty good. Since I played cyberpunk in English, I wanted to watch anime in English. Plus, I was already 4 episodes deep before I figured I could watch it in subtitles lol.

In the subs the subtitles are taken directly from the dub dialogue, sometimes they don't align with what's being said in Japanese.
That being said, I prefer the sub because the language used is kinda cringy, feels like it was written by Lil Wayne or something.

dub va's aren't quite as good but the dub fits the setting better and especially meshes well if you played the game.

Dubs the only way anyone saying sub either didn’t watch both or are just sub only that never except a dub being better

The songs and everything else are english, the show is basically begging you to use dub

I dont care if Captain Vought dubs it, and that guy is great. Anime with english dubs is awful and thats all, folks.

I wanted to watch the sub but the subtitles kept clashing with the bright backgrounds making them unreadable and the words were often misheard by whatever program the people at Netflix used and would appear as a different word, making the dialogue utter nonsense. Had no choice but to watch the dub. The dub was better than most, but again, not my first choice.

Also the subtitles were pretty bad back when I watched it 😅 either very buggy AI did the translation or someone was in a rush.

I would say watch the first episode dubbed to see if you like it. If not switch to sub

Watched in dub. It fit the setting and style IMO. I also didn't like the subs.

sub if you wanna hear kenjiro tsuda having ""sex"" (and imagine if it were nanami kento), dub if you wanna hear giancarlo esposito (the legendary gus fring of breaking bad) as a fixer

T'was a solid dub. I too was hyped by the mention of Esposito, but found his performance... acceptable. Not bad or anything, maybe it's just the nature of the character he's voicing.
The main cast are exemplary tho, spotlights to David and Rebecca's VA. Zach Aguilar delivered David's foolhardy-sometimes-solemn drive quite well, and Rebecca was simply numero uno.

The dub is good, and as someone who's played the game, hearing everyone speak japanese suddenly was immersion breaking for me.

I had similar problem picking. I am polish so i was considering this one aswell ( as cdpred games have in general polish dub better than any other). I checked all 3 in first episodes and found out japanese is by far the best and most compatible, while polish was terrible compared to other 2. So i picked up Japanese and do not regret that, but i guess English is atleast "fine" so u can pick it if u want.

I loved the sub, I'm a sub buff to begin with.
It seems to me though, a good chunk of people are complaining about them. So why not try watching ep 1 in both sub and dub. The anime is good enough that it won't feel like a waste.
