| Goosebumps & Tears, this was too beautiful I even cried. The Animation and Direction was Roof Piece like none other! Thankfully we getting Glimpses of "Film Red" related stories in the next few Episodes, especially since no one knows when will the Movie reach Foreign Cinemas. EXCITED!!! |

I legitimately don't know why Toei chose that golden color for Advanced Conqueror's Haki when they had already settled on the black color effect before when they showed Roger and Whitebeard clash. The yellowish/golden colors are just distracting and were honestly kinda blinding in this episode. Also something I thought about earlier, but Zoro used his best technique against Kaido in the previous episode which also involved infusing his Conqueror's Haki into his swords including one of Oden's, yet he didn't manage to make Kaido fall. Meanwhile Luffy infused his Conqueror's Haki into his punches and was able to knock Kaido flat on his back. So basically Luffy's Haki > Zoro and Oden's Haki. And yet some people will continue to hype up Zoro despite his rather poor showing lol. |

| Not sure how people call this one of the best directed and animated episode. Only the last 7 minutes were animated well. The rest was full of flashbacks, very slow paced moments (espically Big Mom/Kid). But, it did set up some great 1v1's which is nice. The flower blooming were a huge part of Luffy's Haki. It probably represents his powers "blossoming" to the next level. Gotta cut out the flashbacks in the last fight and it's hands down on pair with the 15' fight. |

| If I was nitpicky there are plenty of things I could complain about. Instead I will congratulate Toei to another outstanding episode. Although, I can't help but wonder how Luffy vs Kaido would've looked in 2007. Also props to expanding on the Kid and Killer part. It's nothing outstanding, but it's always nice to see when the anime adds to the parts that fell short. |

It does not even look like Luffy is hitting him without touching him in the anime, because of all the needless flashiness that ruins it. |

| One Piece anime keeps putting other airing shows to shame, having this level of animation and directing in a long running series is supposedly impossible. Visually, it's the most striking and memorable shonen adaptation of this era alongside Kimetsu no Yaiba, the art department is doing wonders with both color choice and characters designs and manages to keep a remarkable consistency. I'm just constantly in awe at what the team behind the anime is able to pull off at such a regular basis. You can tell that they love One Piece and want to make every single blow as memorable as possible. Vincent Chansard keeps being an absolute chad with his space awereness and never-unimpressive background animation, and I was SO GLAD to see Shuu Sugita back on OP after his mindblowing cut on ep 978. Those final 7 minutes were pure anime greatness, Toei is doing so much justice to this part of the story. |
| Toei just took a big dump over one of the best chapter of the year (chapter 1010) and a good part of the One Piece fanbase is still praising it. No wonder Toei can get away with the worst pacing in the medium and half-assing less important scenes. So many people are gassing this episode up (and last week's too which suffered the same fate) even though 10 minutes of it was wasted on big mom making a new elemental minion and Kidd vs Hawkins. Then we finally get the moment we've been waiting for: Luffy using conqueror haki coating in his attacks. Yet it's superposed with so many flashbacks from Wano act 1-2 it literally took 5 minutes for Luffy to pull off his punch and see Kaido's reaction. What a joke. Yeah animation was pretty for that part, big whoop. Disgusting pacing rhythm. Edit: Random dude on youtube with a better storyboard adaptation and composition than Toei. Slapping a bunch of after-fx and adding drawn out flashbacks through this moment was a terrible directing decision, and people are saying the direction was great. | So many people are sleeping on how powerful Big Mom's Fulgora attack was. A lot of people seem to detest this episode, I thought it was fine. Yes, I waited for the adaptation of chapter 1010 for so long, especially when I first watched the masterpiece that was 1015, I have such humongous hopes for this episode, it did not deliver, but also, it was not as terrible as people were whining about. Side note, Toei being super sneaky about a certain silhouette in the impact frame of Luffy and Kaido's clash. |

You may feel different about this episode since you're rather a newcomer to the anime. Not saying there wasn't a lot to complain about again, but to many it's a treat after years and hundreds of episodes of unremarkable animaton. For better or worse, this episode stood out again. Also pretty immature to slander the whole fanbase. You're attempting to be critical, is it so difficult to be more level headed as well? Now as for the video you shared. It's very simplistic short clip. Not to discredit the guy who worked on it, but saying the storyboard is better is an adventourous claim. Where are the emotions? At best I could say that it's cleaner and that it's a style that would've worked better if it was a longer exchange. For it this situation however it wouldn't have left the same bombastic impression. Not to mention that it couldn't have filled the episode, that's something you have to consider as well. These animators work as a team and they have to follow a tight schedule. |
