I mean I can’t say considering the anime isn’t out yet, but I’ll always recommend people to read the manga/source material of a series before watching the anime.

I highly suggest the manga since the story and art was made for the manga format first. fujimoto's paneling is also near cinematic.

I have no doubt mappa will deliver on the anime. But it won't lessen your experience reading the manga first.

chainsaw man was a great experience rereading so if the anime is your second experience you'll probably pick up on a lot of foreshadowing and smaller details that you missed before just as a reread would.

But in this case you'd better read the manga first, because you'll definitely get spoilers

it's just my opinion.
manga is the source material -> read it first.
anime is the adaptation -> watch it after that.

if it's ever the other way around (manga is the adaptation of the anime) then consume it otherway around.

but usually what i do is watch the anime first, and if i really like it i'll read the manga for extra content/lore/whatever

The manga is great as it is and there is no telling how good the anime is actually going to be. It’s a fast read and I’d recommend anyone with a passing interest to just go ahead and read the manga.

I think you should read the manga first, it's very good in my opinion, and plus some things may be cut in the anime, so you might not get to see everything, and the people on this forum are right, you're most likely to get a lot of spoilers.

Entirely up to the individual, but you'll probably enjoy the anime more if you don't know what's coming but you're gonna have to be extremely careful about avoiding spoilers. The manga is a genuine masterpiece so I definitely recommend it, also the easier way to get the spoiler free experience before it airs
