Umm... Idk bro,the show did its actual genre of SciFi a justice, along with it there was occasional comedy. There was a very gradual romantic development even though that wasn't a concern of the anime, it still established a good romance at the end which didn't feel forced? Main characters are well written... relationship dynamics were well explored, there was a phase of desperation and trauma, then what else?? One of the very few animes which I've rated 10/10, don't exactly remember any aspect which was largely missing given its genre and forte. Then what else is missing, the other aspects like music and animation?? I actually don't remember the musical aspect of the show, animation and visuals was good enough for its theme. Unless this is a joke about "the missing person". ๐Ÿ˜‚

You gave it a 10 so I don’t know what more you could want tbh. If you think something is missing it shouldn’t be a masterpiece to you, right?

Makes sense. It feels like every single thing in the anime domes t make sense towards the end. I just feel like it’s because there’s a lot of information to take in at once. Watch steins gate 0 you might get a better idea.

That's mostly because it doesn't make sense, you're just supposed to be so emotionally invested that you buy their explanation.

That literally makes no sense, maybe you should reevaluate what a 10/10 anime should mean.

if you feel something missing and it's definitely not from the dissatisfaction of not getting enough fluff then go and play all sci-adv VNs.

Steins; Gate is just a part of the interlinked VNs of Science Adventure Series and it the know to be the best adaptation among its other counterparts (like Chaos Head, Chaos Child, Robotic Notes). The S;G VN itself is more detailed giving more information about every divergence line.

Like what tho? Elaborate pls, I feel like everything was good based on the story, characters were ok I didn’t really get attached to them, I probably enjoyed it like half of the time. But I think if I went back and rewatch it I might score it higher. Bc this was like the 50th anime that I completed.

I felt something was off, I can't exactly tell what but I definitely felt like that
still I consider it a masterpiece ( every anime that I give a 9/10 is masterpiece for me) but it isn't near 10 not even 9.5 because of that ill feeling I got watching it

I feel it too, i don't know if they still have some time machines in the end, but i think is the fact that they still can do a lot of things with the time machines they have and if i remember well, Kurisu don't come back to Okabe's house. I don't remember a lot of the the final episode especifically and i don't speak english, so sorry for some errors if they exists.

Steins;Gate indeed has a couple of things that didn't make sense, for example, Faris believing that Okabe could send messages to the past just because Mayuri told her that, which didn't make sense, how can she easily believe it? I would prefer if Faris saw the Gel Banana experiment first to believe in it, Steins;Gate does have little bits like this here and there that didn't make sense IMHO.

But the hell with it, I was so emotionally attached to this anime that those little bits didn't affect my enjoyment. I don't mind if an anime has issues as long as I enjoy the ride and it was the best ride of my life.

By the way, I'm only talking about Steins;Gate of course which I freaking loved, not Steins;Gate 0, that one was crap IMHO.

I feel you're overthinking it.
unless you're on about the adaptation from the VN to the anime, nothing really feels missing.

No characters needed to be developed more because none of the characters are overly extraordinary in personality, even if most of them do fit in to a specific character archetype.

We didn't need more episodes/content. Although Okabe tried to save mayuri for a really long time, most of it was repetition.

if we want to talk about something missing, we can talk about S;G 0. nothing was really developed outside of the new characters and the time lapse. everything felt really dragged out, even if I did enjoy it quite a lot.

Watch S;G 0 and you're good, or better yet, play it. Both the original and 0 are way better than their anime counterparts, not only are there more endings but more things are explained and tied.

Probably, what you felt missed is Future Okabe backstory. You can watch the Interquel, which is Steins;Gate 0. or if it's not that maybe because the original visual novel Steins;Gate has more details like, the other scenarios of Okabe' loops or more information regarding SERN or the time travel concepts.

someone pointed out the other day that this is a show where it seems like the only people on earth are the main characters which i agree with mostly. gives it a surreal feel especially in the early episodes (not saying this is a bad thing i gave it a 10)
