For me it's Memories of the Future followed by Declaration of War and That Day.
Memories of the Future is peak moment for AOT as it reveals one of the best changing plot points of the story. The direction of the episode, Eren manipulating his dad, Grisha's breakdown, Zeke's touching moment with his father. Everything is top notch.

That Day is peak of season 3. It changes AOT world. It shows who started this story. The heartbreaking truth of Grisha. His backstory is perfectly directed. And the reveal of the Owl aka Eren Kruger. Just fantastic.

Declaration of War contains the best dialogue of the series for the moment. The moment Reiner and Eren meets, the tension between them, Eren realizing that beyond the wall it's all the same, Eren saying that he and Reiner are the same(If Eren was in the place of Reiner he would have done the same), Willy Tybur speech and in the end Declaration of War against Paradis with a perfect transformation of Eren. Perfect writing and direction.

hero,declaration of war and memories of future are really close too and I think you should also add retrospective and savagery to the poll

Memory of the future, in the manga plot, at that time I was very impressed with this plot twist, so if this happened in the anime and had to choose, maybe this, although now my impression is normal

Retrospective for me but its not in the list so I'll go with my second favourite: Two Brothers. Before these two though my top one was definitely Hero. I just watched Retrospective today and the amount of bloodshed in that episode makes the suicidal charge in S3 P2 look like a picnic in the park. I think not having read this episode's chapter in the manga before added to my awe as well.

Eren and ymir scene is downbad horrible,it couldve been the best anime scene i have ever scene,the face of Eren ,the anger,the devil and the selfless of his face is so well done in the manga

True. That's the only reason why it's not on my top 3. But if I didn't watch the manga that would have been in top 3 for sure. Also I hope they fix it in the Blu-Ray.

absolute valid choices. i guess I would liked MotF more, if I havent got spoiled one hour before the episode aired. but still, the directing, the voice acting and the emotional scenes are just incredible. and the twist itself (even with the spoiler) is just one of the best twists ive ever seen.

My fav episode is Beyond the walls. Not so grand episode. no big plot twists. no craziness, just a calm episode. First they honor the heroes who took back the wall maria, befor that 104th cadets have a little argument. Eren sees something while kissing historia's hand. Then the sea. As I was happy Eren suddenly had to make me depressed And it ends with T-KT as ed. It was just so good. It's special for me.

The scene when Eren kisses Historia's hand it's amazing. You could see in that moment in his eyes he saw something we couldn't imagine. And that paid off in Memories of the Future.

S01 Episode 17: When the female titan first shows up.

That episode stopped me from dropping this show and I'm super glad I didn't.

A couple of seasons later (2 episodes prior) my blood pressure rose when Annie killed a Yeagerist with a flying kick.

Too bad ass.

I've written about my favorite episodes before, if anyone wants to see my reasoning for some of these. Having experienced the story in its entirety since then, my perspective has certainly changed on some episodes and seasons altogether...

I think Two Brothers got the best treatment out of the big chapters from the war for paradis arc. Memories and From you were competent adaptations, but didn't really elevate the source material as I was hoping they would. And, well... Those are pretty much the only additions to my top 10 since I last made this list, so there you go. Really hoping they nail 130 since it has a shot at making the list.

If I were to include manga chapters as well, then I'd actually rank The War Hammer Titan chapter above of Assault, remove Two Brothers altogether from my ranking, move up the manga chapters of Memories of the Future and "From You..." just behind Scream, and chapter 131 would be in my top 5, probably at 4th place. Declaration of War, The Table Conversation, and Levi vs Zeke round 2 would also be strong contenders since their manga counterparts are much stronger than their anime episodes.
