| I love that moment. With the ominous choir and monstrous rumbling sounds it was very understandable for them not to be able to hear eachother, even when they are literally next to eachother. It was already pretty well established that Mikasa had Eldian Ackermann blood through her father and we know all Eldians are essentially connected through the paths and something like mass communication is very easily possible. It was definitely thrown in there to evince the sheer loudness of the rumbling. |

| I did, at first it came across as an attempt at comedy relief, with Mikasa having to keep asking Armin to repeat himself. If the intention was to convey how loud the rumbling was, they could've done a better job. Like go into Mikasa's POV and cut out the sound with ringing (like how people go deaf after a grenade explosion) with Armin's yells being muffled. I also think the lines and delivery from Armin were odd, like the way he was talking wasn't natural and it was a weird time to be going on about how Eren is their ally. Would've been better if the moment focused entirely on the horror of the situation and left all discussion/exposition for after. |
