| Ah, The Wise Man's Grandchild at Demon King Academy, where the villains learned how to make aliases from the protagonist of Assassin's Pride (seriously, Devilis?). Honestly, the episode itself was decent and doesn't seem to have any issue standing on its own. Of course, that's probably because it has the plot of an entire season of any other magic school anime boiled down to a single episode. If we compare this to something like My Hero Academia, the tournament against the other school didn't even happen until season 2. |

| Maybe I'm a sucker for op ms shows, but 1st episode I enjoyed this. even of other people on here say it's a bit fast paced. to that, I would agree somewhat, tournament episode in 1st episode. |

 Well, that's because he's the main protagonists in his own Op story. Mc came out of the woods being able to kill giant tigers in one swoop, destroy targets with one fireball, teach peasants the forgotten magics in a single day and kill a demon all by himself. Next episode he will be able to revive the dead. |
| Great first episode! Matthias is really skilled even with the crest of failure he was born with! He can do incant less magic casting and he even was asked to teach it to the other students! The other school really underestimate his abilities... Looking forward to the next episode! |

They already skipped some of the beginning chapters of the manga, and they skipped other parts as well. All in all I was disappointed greatly that's what im hearing, but they could have stuck to the non generic aspects.. if there were any lol |

| Pretty generic to be honest, it reminds me of Kenja no Mago a lot except this one the first episode feels so rushed. From the isekais this season this is one if not the worths one. |

| Holy cow, did they just cram 6 episodes into 1? That was so fast paced that I thought I was watching a recap episode. I hope this means they skipped all the boring parts. As for the story, it felt like another generic isekai/adventure show. Kirito #241 is soooo strong and all the girls have their panties wet. The idea of demons pretending to be humans, only to make people believe that incantation is better than wordless casting is laughably stupid. The demons seriously couldn't come up with a better plan? Not dropping this show yet, but definitely off to a rocky start. |

| Another generic start, totally like kenja no mago, start with samo random mc will powerful thing "with weakest crest" (i think its understandable since its title of this anime), mc randomly enchant the blade alone when everyone doing in group and take a time, show off power during entrance and yes "tournament" idk (i think) i heard tournament arc, so u know where it is going now right? |

| I like it. What can I say, I like my OP protagonists... and Lurie is cute <3. By the way, thank God they sorted out the tournament in the same episode they announced it. Tournaments can be cool and exciting but as soon as I heard that word, I was about to pull my hair out haha. So "Devilis" was a demon... lol. |

In the manga, while it's not in an extreme way like Anos, the MC has a cocky attitude that is mostly missing in the anime version. Though, the MC's design in the manga is different from the LN (the anime version of the design is based on the LN). The MC design in the manga also has a cocky look, so I dunno if the MC's personality was blander in the LN than in the manga. | This show makes no sense like most other trashy isekai types but unlike Wiseman or anos voldigold, I'm just left feeling disappointed and not some enjoyment from post ironic humour found in those. While my examples don't take themselves as seriously this show does and that's where the problem lies. They try their hardest to convince you that trash writing is passable and at this stage its so overdone that I just can't let it slide. I have no idea what has happened in terms of peoples ability to rate shows but if this is what they consider a good show by giving it a 6.7 at the moment we have a lot of deluded people among us. My main issues with most anime is purely the writing and in this show the lack of care or thought is phenomenal, they took an interesting premise of a reincarnated wizard who thought he wiped out a race of demons and is back in a world where demons are back to their original numbers which could be an actual interesting show where we watch the main character grow to his pre reincarnation power level but no we get a ready meal main character who lacks any semblance of depth. He does feel like a person whose lived for a lot of years, he just feels like a horny kid who joined mensa. Now let's talk about the demons, the show thought how about we make demons disguise themselves to destroy magic society from within which is fine. BUT THE AUTHOR LITERALLY GAVE THE CHARACTER THE NAME DEVILIS or something along those lines. I think this is a pretty good indication that the author isn't very high quality to say the least. Now my second problem with the demons is that the show explicitly tells us that currently even a group of high ranking mages would fail to defeat one. So why are they acting like spies? Why are they hiding their power when clearly they could wipe out the whole country? There is no reason because the author has not thought any of this through. Also all the characters are two dimensional. The writing is bad, i didnt expect anything from an isekai and nor will I ever. |

| It was like they were trying to speed run the anime, very underwhelming start. And LOL at all the comments about how it's no Misfit of Demon King Academy, like that show wasn't anything but slap bang average. |
| Sucks for those who didn't read the manga first - they're trying to CRAM wayyy too much in a span of a single Episode. If this is the pace they plan to continue, I don't have high hopes for this series. A shame, since I quite enjoyed the manga. |

I can only hope that for some reason they decided to do the beginning chapters as a flashback instead of the first couple of episodes. |
