| has there ever been an incident where you found a character that has no character development but still likeable? i got few characters that are likeable even without character development 1. jotaro kujo- my least favorite jojo main character. even though hes 100% badass but he has no character develpment in part 3. not talking about his role in part 4 because hes a side character 2. kirito from sao- he is in the same boat as jotaro kujo. no further words to explain 3. every single character from aho girl. |

| I say the main girls from Azumanga Daioh (Osaka, Chiyo, Sakaki, Yomi, Kagura, and Tomo). All six characters are unique in their own way. They are so memorable. Seeing them in the anime makes me wish i could redo my high school era. |

| Most character from slice of life anime. As long as they are good at their role (which most of the time is bringing a certain type of comedy ) and have good character interaction, I find them likable without development and evolution. |
| A very good portion of characters are well written and don’t get any character development in the series. Askeladd from Vinland Saga is a static character that never changes who he is… This thread is kinda pointless since character development isn’t tied to the quality of his writing, you’re just asking who everybody likes but are excluding a very small portion of characters. |

| I don't see why a character couldn't be likeable or interesting without any development. Slice of life in general in anime and a lot of other works in movies or literature outside this medium focus on a short period of time in a few characters life where there is not much development to speak of but that is not even the point of those stories. Those works are more like detailed screenshots of the life of those whom are depicted. So, yes, a character pretty much could be likable or have any other qualities without any shown development at all. |

But why Kiritsugu, from what I remember the only development he received was in his flachback so I didn't count it. Correct me if I am wrong. |
