Because Redues is now a little more older.
Its only natural for his voice to change because of puberty. They are just changing it to someone with lower pitch.

Well for example, I cant take The Faraway Paladin seriously, because the main character still sounds like 11 year old boy. I think it makes sense to update the VA older the character gets.

There is, have you even read the LN? I completed the WN and have read the latest volume of LN that is translated and even updated with the manga. So I am pretty sure there is.

Ok then I'll have to check again but I read from a trustworthy source that the VA is getting changed because of the time skip when Rudeus gets older.

Like I said there isn't a time skip after the ending of season 1 of the anime and there's only time skip of months after Rudeus join soldat's part for a while,so I don't see it as a that big of a timeskip

Vol 6 Rudy is 13 years old at the end of the volume.

Maybe your just misremembering, just check your vol 7 and vol 8 Light novels.

I do think a change in VA is warranted. In one of the Drama CD's teen Rudy is voiced by Hiro Shimono. he definitely fits but, I'd like to see Makoto Furukawa I think he can easily capture the somber and eventual confident teen Rudy.

While it's true thar females voicing male characters is pretty common, what is uncommon is having one voice actor staying with a character that ages significantly. Rudy could even have another female voice actor, so long as the new voice is noticeably deeper
