There are a lot of people asking about a second season of Claymore. According to one site, there is the possibility of making a second season. The TV station needs to know that there is enough support for it, though.

I have already done this as have several of my other friends, so I thought I would pass on word here.

If you are interested in trying to support a second season of Claymore, visit the below link and follow the instructions listed in the two tiny spoiler sections of this person's post. You may have to join the forum before you are able to see the post. (I don't know because I'm already a member of the forum, so I already have access to the site for sure.)

The link to the site may be found here: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=2742783#post2742783.

I have already filled out the form, so please let me know if you have any questions. The more people who sign this the better, so please look into it!

(I already posted this on the anime discussion board, but someone told me to move it to the manga section as well. The manga is still continuing, so there are probably some Claymore fans out there following the manga who would like to see the new manga chapters animated. (: )

They shouldn't make a second season for at least another two years or so. There simply isn't enough manga material and another filler ending would SUCK. If a second season is made they better disregard the last few episodes of the first season as well, otherwise the story will be completely ruined.

Yeah, I really have no idea how they are going to manage the new anime (if there is enough support for one). But I think it's kinda now or never for a second season. I doubt they're gonna ask people again to vote in a few years or something. ^^;

Maybe they'll just do an OVA or something instead of a full season cause they aren't enough chapters to work with yet. Or maybe they'll also animate the extra chapters, re-do the last bit, etc. I don't think anyone really knows what to expect at the moment, but I think most people still want to see the later chapters animated... Although another filler ending would not be good. I can understand your point on that. :|

The website's goal is 10,000+ signatures.
We have a long time before something like this happens.

Imo, they should just start from the very beginning.
It's been two years since the animation.
Besides, Claymore in HD sounds pretty good.

Yeah, it's a lot of signatures, but every signature counts. =D

I'd like to see it re-done from the beginning. They have to re-do at least the last few episodes, so they might as well re-do it all from the beginning like FMA: Brotherhood. I know Claymore wasn't changed nearly as much as FMA was, but I still think it'd be nice to have it reset. Like you said, it can't hurt to see Claymore in HD. I don't think anyone'd complain about a do-over for the Claymore anime. (;

They should do to Claymore what they did to Hellsing. An OVA with one long high quality episode every two months or so, so it never catches up to the manga and so they have all the time in the world to perfect it. It's the same studio afterall (madhouse).

You'll end up confusing people if you redo it again with the same art style. They'll be all, wtf? Why is it the same. Reruns? You'll lose viewers before the anime even hits the juicy parts.

Honnestly. The anime sprung in too early. It can't really be fixed without saying "We screwed up".

As far as I know, Mad House doesn't do sequels. Since they're the ones who handled the first season of Claymore, I am betting someone else will pick up the second one. Kinda like Gunslinger Girl and Gunslinger Girl Il Teatrino. Madhouse did the first season, but someone else picked up the second season. I was guessing that would happen, so the art style would be different enough so that people wouldn't be confused. (Same with Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The animation is also slightly different.) If another company picks up Claymore Season 2, then I expect the art will be different enough for people to notice that they are in fact different, so they won't be confused. This is all merely speculation, though...

I do agree that the anime began too early. That's how it is for a lot of series, which is why half of them add fillers and the other half end earlier than the manga (as well as end horribly).

I'm hoping it can be fixed with the "We screwed up" kinda attitude. Perhaps it'll be like FMA and FMA: Brotherhood. They re-did that one completely. The FMA anime started wavering from its manga counterpart much earlier on, so I am not sure if Claymore will really be re-done, but it is a possibility. *shrugs*

Yeah, I don't know how they're really doing it... So a re-do is possible. *shrugs*

Or someone else suggested that they just do OVAs every so often starting from where they left off (well, up to the part before they altered it). I have no idea what they're thinking about doing, though. ^^;

I did vote for a new season, I really hope they redo it. As for season 1's ending, I didn't hate it but thought it could at least show Galatea seeing Alicia and Beth. If the series is updated monthly then it makes sense they would need to end it early. Overall, I would LOVE to see a new Claymore series and think that they should reset the from the Battle of Pieta from after Clare defeats Rigardo and continue from there but thought that it would be better to wait for the manga to be close to ending to let the anime catch up from there. Well, thats just my opinion. I do hope for a season 2 in the near future! (maybe around Mid 2010)

Compared to the manga, I hated the anime ending. But perhaps that's cause I expected certain things to happen a certain way, and they didn't... Perhaps if I hadn't read the manga first, I wouldn't have been as disappointed (if that makes any sense).

I guess cause the manga hadn't been going that long, they had to cut it kinda short and make an attempt at an ending at that point. But I do kinda wish they had waited maybe a few more months til making the first season of the anime. Then they could've ended it right after the Pieta war or something. Perhaps it would've stayed closer to the manga. *shrugs*

I definitely agree they should reset it around there. I think they need to re-do Pieta to show when Clare is really saved by Jean (not how it is in the current anime where Clare fights Priscilla, then Jean saves her).

The problem with waiting for the manga to end is that I don't think the manga is close to ending... But I do see your point. I don't think anyone wants a repeat of a disappointing ending, after all. :|

MadHouse Studios does do second seasons.

Famous examples:
Black Lagoon
Black Lagoon Second Barrage

Aquarion Age
Aquarion Age The Movie

Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie
Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie 2: The Sealed Card

Chi's Sweet Home

I don't know they'd really do a sequel, but most people are saying that the last few episodes would have to first be re-done to make it possibly, so I'm assuming they'd do that. However, I really have no idea what they're planning on doing if they do make a sequel, but I still have hopes they'll re-do it and re-do it right.

i want more Clare x Raki action :D, if that can be promised, it has my vote.....
"Forged in darkness with wheat harvested from Hell's half acre. Baked by Beelzabub; slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chickens, force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one-eyed madman. Cheese boiled from the rancid utters of fanged cows. Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood."

As I said earlier, I have no idea what they have planned for the second season. I'd assume that they will fix the messed up ending, cause you cannot really continue the anime without doing that first. ^^;

That's what I'm hoping will happen. But since the FMA manga and the original FMA anime were so far off from the get go, that's why they redid the anime completely. With Claymore the anime only starts to deviate more towards the end, so I'm not sure if they'll completely redo the series or not...

I don't support this idea at all. They broke away from the manga and added original crap not just at the end but countless other places. 1 claymore was supposed to be dead yet she lasted till the end. Now if they where planning to remake the series like Full Metal Alchemist, then I'd approve.

PS. There's plenty of content to make a second seasons assuming they followed the manga.

Again, I don't know if the second season would be an actual second season or just a re-do of the first season. I'm hoping it's just a re-do of the first season (or at least enough of a re-do to fix the first anime's butchered ending, then continue with the manga from there). Since there's a possibility of the anime being re-done correctly, I support the idea, but it's up to you to decide. (:

I think that means we got enough votes to allow a possible second season. I can't read Japanese, but based on the numbers alone, we have more than 10,000 (which I am assuming was the goal number), so I guess that means a second season is likely to be in the works.

(This is pure conjecture, though. I really cannot say for sure since, as I already said, I don't understand Japanese. ^^; )
