I remember my earlier days of being weeb when I listened to J-pop/J-rock music everyday. Made a playlist of Anime OPs and Ed's. Few months ago I got into British rock. Currently neither feels good to hear. Both genre feels boring and flat. I feel like I should have sticked with Japanese music.

How do you guys manage to have broad taste yet enjoy all of them continuously?

i’m able to continuously listen to different genres because of all of the variety i have to choose from. the more diversity you have in what you listen to, the more options you have for when you’re tired of specific stuff.

you were born in 2005 br0. plenty of good music out there. the problem is you. maybe you're depressed or lost interest. who knows.

Everyone has different tastes. It’s subjective, no point questioning it.

Easiest solution is just to listen to some other genres. Maybe the above mentioned stuff just isn't for you.

Sounds like you you should branch out and try now things, and why not start with unsolicited tech death and prog metal recommendations?

Idk, why people have to specify birth dates? Just because you are older doesn't mean you have better taste.

i'm not saying i have better taste, i'm saying you're a kid who hasn't spent considerable time listening & exploring different music genres.

I don't like the term "kid" a better term would be "teen"

I forgot to mention one thing when I listen to a piece of music about 3-4 times it usually causes earworm during sleeping time. Earworm is very annoying and causes insomnia.

listening to the same stuff over and over again gets boring after a while, that's why I'm always looking for new stuff to check out.

Your taste will evolve with your experience. I used to listen to shit in early teens that I don't care about anymore, I used to listen to shit 5 years ago that I don't care about anymore, I used to listen to shit 1 year ago that I don't care about anymore. Moving through different genres will provide you sensorial experiences that would move your sense of what is good or not based on your emotional state and understanding. Dont get stuck in a box, be open to new experiences and dont be afraid of liking something or disliking something, music is way too diverse and everything is out there

Probably you should listen a nostalgic song.
I remembered had the same situations like you, and play nostalgic song then cry/depressed. But when i get up i don't feel bored again.
