It’s also a fantasy story set in a fantasy world so “historically accurate” wouldn’t apply to the story because this is not non fiction. It’s not even historical fiction. Fantasy by definition means the world created follows the rules and culture created and set by the author and whether or not to base that setting on real world history and customs is up to them. Or they want to make up their own. The entire argument about the show being “historically accurate” is redundant. You can say it’s not believable or good story telling as the author rushed through getting the MC on the throne without creating tension or conflict but real word history has nothing to do with it especially in a world where magic exists which immediately disrupts any sense of realism. The merit of a fantasy story is not based on something as trivial as “real world history” so long as it makes sense in the context of the world and setting created. It’s about believability which it’s not but still. Also putting it out there but it would have made more sense if they killed off the king (and queen) instead of having him abdicate the throne. |

Yea it's a stupid premise... It's all just a ruse by the king though, he never actually planned to send him to the empire and have already decided to give him the throne by any means as it was the not first time Souma had been summoned. He is trying to change history by giving up the crown this time around as it was the only way to escape the fate or something, I can't remember the whole context anymore.. |

It's just your typical escapist fiction with a self insert protagonist and harem bait. Expecting every character to act like an actual human being is a big mistake. This is the type of story where you need to turn off your brain if you want to enjoy it. Also it's pretty obvious that it was written by an otaku to pander otakus. |

I'm all out for throwing accuracy out of the window but at this level it truly feels like junk food thrown at who ever watches this more like " hey you like anime and isekai and waifus and self insert mcs right ?? lol here you go " Then don't watch it dude. Is that a hard concept to grasp?? Don't like don't watch. Spend your time on something you actually enjoy |

JZO9 said: Wow mc gets summoned to another world the king is the most tame beta male anyone can imagine including his retinue and mc comes in and screams in their faces and everyone just cowards really wow and then he gets them to change their minds about sending him to the empire WOW and he discusses planning with them and they nod and to him like what the actual fu**? and he gets appointed king and gets engaged to their princess REALLY WOW so my question is did the author write this story with 10 years old readers in mind or does he not understand wtf was it like back in middle ages ? It's all explained in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th volume. Trust me, it makes sense |
