| By combining a serene soundtrack (my 2nd fav behind Arias) and phenomenal directing with subtle, mature characterization and ingenious storytelling, Mushishi creates an atmosphere unlike anything i’ve ever seen. It knows and does what it sets out to do without resorting to pseudo-psychological blabber, or contrived melodrama. I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece since only two animangas would fall into that category for me, but it’s among the best slice of lifes and a must-watch for people who like relaxing shows. |

| Mushishi somehow creates these unique moments of spiritual bliss and wonder that I have never seen in any anime. Forget real world logic, it focuses more on feeling and sensing, something that can't be captured in words. |
