| First one I can think of is ep 1 of Akudama Drive, it was so over the top and hype. Rest of the anime ended up being meh :/ |
| Gakkou Gurashi has one of the best first episodes imo. They managed to turn what was cute and fluffy into thrilling in a single episode. |

| Attack on Titan Starts up with a nice introduction to the main characters and ends with a great emotional moment. This is an easy top 5 for me. Demon Slayer Same as above, but a bit of a downgraded version of it. Still, it's a very nice first episode. Ajin Introduction of the characters maybe a bit lacking, but it's way of starting it's story is just spot on. Bakemonogatari This show was the one who introduce me to the abstracity of an artstyle that anime could bring for the very first time, and I got one hell of an enjoyment from it. |

| Death note had a great first episode. But also twin star exorcists [an underrated show] had a great one for me IMO. |

| To Your Eternity- absolutely loved that first episode, none of the later episodes have been able to surpass it so far. Kotoura-san- That amazing first episode was the only reason I actually finished the series, because I went into it 100% blind and thought it might get that good again. I'm still annoyed that that never happened. Clannad- First episode here really got me hooked immediately, especially with that amazing opening line (the one I have as my signature). |

| Might not be the best on in my mind right now, but one of the best imo and it is SAO's first episode, it set the premise of the show and had me super excited to see whats gonna happen after. |
