It must be tough to be holding up in that tree in the night amidst the raging rain and flood. So did they sleep in that tree?

Ginko talked for the last time with the mother in her devastated home caused by the flood...damn, this really pictures the disaster

This wrecked me inside, no mother wants to lose their child.

But the cycle of life, and the cycle of water .. intertwined.

Tragic, and Beautiful. Might be my favorite episode yet.

There's something I don't get in this thread.

So, most people here seem to agree that (regardless of him being morally at fault or not) Gingo's actions triggered the boys disappearance.
I'm surprised about this, since the way I understood:
[list]
[*] Uko Mushi make animals disappear. That's their normal life cycle.

Add to this that Yuuta became vapor instead of water because he learned from his mother than the water and clouds are the same thing. The way in which he died/disappeared affirmed his life alongside his mother.

As for Ginko, I just think he's generally not very emotionally demonstrative. He has no family or friends he sees on a regular basis (Adashino and Tanyuu being the closest things he has to friends) so it's no surprise he's a bit aloof.

This episode is both creepy and sad, poor Yuuta :(

Everyone saying oh poor Yuuta's mother, I'm like what? She's alive, she can breed other kids. Yuuta's the one whos gone for good.
Me every time I hear the word "reparations": 🤣🤣🤣

we finally got an ending somewhat more on the tragic side, the last episodes were way too happy, that's illegal :p
