As they have been producing a lot of animes recently. They made around 6 animes last year and they have around 5 animes coming this year including some big titles. for example ufotable made only 2 anime last year and those were also movies.(ufotable is just an example, i am not comparing both of these studios) What are your thoughts on it? (I don't know much about animation industry so correct me if i am wrong) |

pretty sure a lot of mappa animators are freelance or work at home but working as an animator for studios in japan usually isn't very healthy in general. |

MAPPA has around 200 employees which seems to be an appropriate amount of people for a large studio. Therefore I see no reason why MAPPA should be considered a toxic place to work because it should be able to divide the studio's work evenly amongst its employees so that nobody feels overwhelmed. |

but MAPPA is making a LOOOOOOOOOT of money from stuff like Jujutsu Kaisen and the budget to make it was pretty big to the employees are getting paid accordingly, they are probably working a lot but that's what they chose to do, to get paid that much. |

They may have over 200 employees but they still do a lot of outsourcing or rely on freelance work and their conditions don't seem any better than other studios, certainly not enough to justify such a fast growth. The thing is, had MAPPA not been the studio that is in charge of the hottest stuff in current anime, people wouldn't be making all sorts of efforts to defend a studio that looks so fishy from the beginning. |

I just hope that the animators deserve a break cause they definitely do after working on a lot of anime, especially with Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 because that's even more hell to animate than it was with Season 4 part 1. But with the amount of anime they're working on right now, I doubt that MAPPA has a healthy environment |

lol at 200 GOAT MAPPA Employees meme again Kyoto Animation (before the arson) and Ufotable have 200 employees too but they only do 2-3 anime each year at most by that logic of number of employees then Toei Animation that has 800 employees should be having awesome animation on their works right now as for the topic, Hayashi in an interview described MAPPA work environment as Chaos like they they are so unorganized and does a lot of cutting corners just to deliver an anime episode right on time |
