I didn't really get very far in Attack on Titan because after being an absolute rude asshole to everybody around him including his mother, Mr. Jaeger decides to wipe out what they thought at that time was the dominant species on the planet that had driven mankind to the brink of extinction by doing absolutely nothing but screaming about how he would kill all titans.
No strategy, no special training he was just going to kill all Titans. Thank goodness his dad injected him with plot juice. Please don't mind me,enjoy what you enjoy.

Oh, that's kinda fair I guess. He has got easily dislikable qualities. Can't be helped if you found his character to be a pain.

Ginko and Gintoki probably, they're both great and loved by the vast majority of the people who watched their respective anime

I've rarely seen someone hating on Edward. I mean, how could you?
Also I think I only have seen a handful people disliking Yona. I mean, how could you²?

Annoying =/= realistic . Even in the last season all he does Is scream. The manga readers are saing that everyone will love him after the final season ,but i don't believe that the fact that he Will be likable in the last season will erase the crap of a character he was throughout all the series.

I think you misunderstood me. I like that development in some ways, since it's quite interesting. But in discussions I just got tired of the praise for him, I think, because I get the impression that's often praised by your teenage edgelords, who go like "great, he's not a "crybaby" anymore! Cool!"
Only speaking sympathy-wise, I liked Eren much better before.

I'm surprise people are mentioning characters like Hachiman, Eren, Subaru, and Kirito. I've seen plenty of people who hate them. In fact, I'm not a fan of any of those four. They're depressing or boring MCs to me.

Overall, I think it's impossible for a character to not be hated. There is at least one person out there who will hate them.

But, I do agree that there are some MCs who barely get hate. Based on my observations, those are:
Edward Elric (like what OP stated)
Saiki Kusuo
Shigeo Kageyama
Ash Lynx

These are some off the top of my head. Of course, I'm pretty sure there are some people who hate them.

I truly believe Mob from Mob psycho is the best protagonist in an anime series. He has it all. Not only is he not a pussy, he also has a gentle heart and he always tackles things logically. I'd say he's just about as lovable as anyone.

I like Nausicaa the best. She is super cool, super nice, contributes to the plot in a meaningful way all of the time, has the best voice lines, cares about other characters... Idk, she is the best.
Other good ones are Tanjiro because he is a good boy and Legoshi because he is a good boy. I also like Tadano quite a bit from Komi Can't Communicate.
