| Blassreiter is one of the more overt ones in that regard. And though not the most recommended, Eien no Aseria certainly takes that path as well. Such themes also creep into a number of Gundam and Macross titles for obvious reasons. The various Gensoumaden Saiyuki series also touch on the theme quite frequently. Crest/Banner of the Stars also deal with this to a degree. There's numerous others with minor recurring themes to that extent, and ones like Zettai Karen Children that approach the subject, but still keep it more lighthearted. Also, Pumpkin Scissors and Speed Grapher are also both, like Gankutsuou, very big on the rift between the upper and lower classes. Kiddy Grade eventually gets into this to a degree as well. |

I've watched valkyria chronicles,pumpkin scissors and code geass already, and planned to watch all gundam series.XD I put Gurren Lagann, Gankutsuou, witch hunter robin, eve no jikan and Blassreiter in my PTW list. Of all your recs, those five sound most interesting to me. More recs please.^^ for the recs, the darker the series are, the better. XD |
