| Based on your watched list, for anime that you haven’t Watched yet, I’d recommend Wolf’s Rain and Ergo Proxy. There’s also Black Bullet and Highschool of the Dead, but I think the other two are closer to what you’re looking for. |

| +1 Girls' Last Tour So Ra No Wo To  A moe military slice-of-life that has post-apocalyptic aspects. Although things have stabilized, most of the surface has been turned into wasteland from decades of wars, the oceans are dead (no fish, whales, dolphins, etc.) Technology has regressed to 1930's-ish level and even earlier for some technology (for example, no radios, minimal electricity). No airplanes; steam engines are used for the railways but the military uses internal combustion for primitive mecha-tanks and for small vehicles like motorbikes and jeeps. Some high tech relic equipment still exists but mostly broken down without the tech or know-how to repair it. This is the setting for our protag a girl who joins the military so she can learn to play the trumpet (due to lack of radios signalling is back to using bugles & trumpets). There is an uneasy cease-fire between her country and the neighboring one and so we get to experience barracks life at the sleepy town of Seize which borders the no-man's land between the two countries. But will it stay that way... I should mention that the OST is one of the best anywhere. You might want to rethink mentioning your Youtube vid in the post, though, as advertising or self-promotion is a no-no. |
