| Hostess of fertility is definitely related to freya. The female dwarf is a former very high level adventurer (and an old rival/pal of Gareth too) who "retired" while keeping her former status of adventurer. The only (currently active in Orario itself) god that could afford to let what is probably a strong level 5 do something else than being active in a dungeon without gimping their familia is Freiya. If this is the case then technically Hostess of fertility is de facto Freiya familia territory, just tacitly open to anyone, per wish of its owner. Personal theory is that she was either from Zeus or Hera familia, and converted to Freiya when those two were kicked out 15 years ago, probably with the condition of opening that restaurant instead (as IIRC providing a place for adventurer to be at peace was an old wish of her or something among those lines). Like it was said above at least one other member outside of Syr is indirectly related to Freiya as well. And Syr is definitely related closely to Freiya as well, but her exact relation is unknown. Also, about the "freiya's child" mentionned above. For gods, any of the mortal under their protection is "their children". Looks like you forgot that simple fact. Gods are not fertile, but mortals are their "children". Also the child of a god would be unable to hide its non-mortal identity to gods and perceptive mortals alike. Syr is definitely not Freiya though, so the theory about those two being the same person is technically false. however, their relation seems to be very peculiar. It almost seems as if no one in the world can order anything to Syr except Freiya herself. Not even the head of Freiya familia, not even her boss at the Hostess of Fertility. Definitely a very strange position. |

We now know the affiliation of most peoples working at the hostess of fertility thanks to the familia chronicle Ryu side story volume too. The name of Hostess of fertility is related not to syr but to the big dwarf female owner, who is the former leader of Freiya familia, who retired around 15 years ago IIRC. Who is exactly Syr is still shrouded in mystery, but logically she isn't Freiya. Her personality has been shown to be really different too. The author is freely using mythology names without respecting the relationships between them. For example, gods who are children of other gods in the mythology are not here (as gods can't have children) and mortals that have demi gods' names aren't demi gods for the same reason; and so on. |
