Welcome to the server RiceKnight! Your name reminds me of a Smash Bros tournament I had where someone played with Mii character and choose the "Knight" outfit with a rice farmer hat, resulting in the name RiceKnight x) Anyway, nice to see you like traveling to be fair, who does not?, what was your favourite destination so far? I haven't been there yet, but I'm sure that Japan will be one of the best, though it will be a wait till the time comes... How high or low. Or is it about how many fans is watching it? Ratings or views? Hey, it might be better if you ask the same question in comment section or General chat since people use introductions to introduce themselves. You can get more replies there if you ask the same question. |

What can you say about that?Sairasuj said: rinirax said: Kakashiboi said: Hey my name is Brady I live In the USA and I started watching anime about 6 months ago because my girlfriend told me too. The first one I watched was one called black butler (Kuroshitsuji). I have a lot of anime I like but Id have to say my favorite is either Naruto Shipuuden or Hunter x Hunter, if you look at my profile you can see my favorites. my favorite genres are shounen with a bit of Shoujo. also I know Russian, Swedish and English as I was born in Russia then moved to Sweden then to the USA, I'm Fluent in Russian and English and I've lost my Swedish a bit. id love some anime to watch and I'm planning on watching Yuri!! on Ice soon. Appreciate everything around you, before they turn to memories -Jiraiya from Naruto Hello Brady and welcome. It seems like you have lived a very interesting life so far, I am amazed you were able to learn russian, swedish and english like that. Your girlfriend sounds awesome too, its always a blast to have someone to enjoy Anime with. I've checked your profile and except for Naruto it seems we have very different tastes so I can't help you with recommendations but I'm sure you'll find many like-minded people here. Sairasuj said: Hi everyone Im a new member in this group Im cyrus from the ph Im not so good at introducing myself I think and not also good in english . Im 17 years old not much sociable and very sensitive person Ive been watching anime since my child days I like how the mc's personality and the plots stories that all hooked me . I hope I can learn more in this grow and eventually grow there are some much things I didn't know I suppose hahaha btw my pref genre is action, fantasy , romance , sports adventure literally I just like anime so much . Hope we can get all along good day and keep safe Hello Cyrus and welcome. I think your english is fine I was able to understand everything perfectly, don't worry about it. I have seen in your profile that you only rated 3 of the Animes you have watched, may I ask why that is? If it's because you are unsure what to rate I can totally relate. I often go back to older stuff and rate it differently after watching something similar recently. I'm sure we will get along just great since we here also love Anime so much. The rating is completely up to you. If you press on the Rating Button you will see a description after every number, for example 10 means Masterpiece, 9 means Great or 2 means horrible, to give you a feeling for how you could rate an anime. There are people who treat the ratings very seriously, giving 9 and 10 to only a select few anime while others might only use 1 if they didnt like it and 10 if they liked it. For me if I liked it I'll give it a 7. If I liked it and it made me think about it afterwards an 8. A 9 if I liked it so much that I rewatched it. And a 10 if it was so good that it influenced my thinking and changed me as a person. Just to give you an example. The more Anime you watch the more your ratings will be put into perspective so you will find your way around the rating system soon I'm sure. When I look for new anime I will look for genres I like. Then I check the story. I don't care so much about the rating but I would say the ratings on this site are very trustworthy to figure out if something is good or not. Also is it okay to talk things like that here I mean its the intoduction thread . |

For Europe, I loved Iceland. I went in the winter between Christmas and New Year's so I got to see the Northern Lights. For Asia, I'd say maybe the Singapore? Extremely, developed and clean. Everyone spoke english so it was easy getting around. The food stalls were spectacular. Shopping along Orchard Road had everything I dreamed of seeing. The only downside of Singapore was the price of a lot things including bars. I would've said Japan, but I had to cancel my trip. I was supposed to go this summer for the Olympics :'( |

Besides that, I am especially interested in Eastern culture, art and lifestyle. My hobbies and interests also include volunteering, project management, business, philosophy. I enjoy different genres of music and deep conversations so don't be afraid to hit me up. I would love to make new frineds here. |

Well hello I'm SlowpokeWild and I don't know how to write about me but I'll try my best. I like anime like everyone here and I joined because it's not a bad idea have a record of all the animes I've watched. Also it's a great form of improve my English writing some reviews without knowing how to write a review. I don't have any favourite genre but kinda like the drama/police stories and sometimes a little bit of fan service doesn't kill anybody. Cheers for everybody and sorry the bad English and my shyness. I'm also interested in Eastern culture and I learn and talk about it with some of my friends and we discuss what's different than European etc. Hello, healerblue~ Just as you, I enjoy learning about the psychology behind one's actions - people or characters. I believe there's always an explanation for someone's doings no matter bad or good, conscious or unconscious, and getting to the heart of it is what really intrigues me. Of course, I am trying not to go too deep into it and keep it to myself, because it can get annoying for people sometimes. Currently I am reading this book which talks about understanding your darker side and it gives some really interesting insights (Why Good People Do Bad Things: Understanding Our Darker Selves by James Hollis). I strongly recommend it. About genre - to be honest, I can't opt for only one genre, just like you. It really depends on my mood. Currently I'm listening to some mainstream stuff, but I enjoy emo rap, indie, kpop etc. and some pop pieces from deifferent European artists as well. I have read that liking different music genres means that you are an open-minded person because of how diverse your taste is. I believe it's true. What do you think? I am glad to hear you are also interested in Eastern culture, I believe most people here are. What I am especially interested in though is their philosophy, again. It's so different than ours. |

And feel free to message me, you don't bother or annoy me, don't worry. Hm, I might check that book later, seems interesting. At least from the title. I haven't heard that before but I agree with that statement. I'm not 100% sure about it but I do agree with it. I'm personally more interested in culture in general and other things. I like the diversity and how we have different things and norms. I'd like to learn more about that. |

Hello person reading this, you must be pretty cool. Anyway, you can call me Malachi if you wish. I reside in the USA at the moment. I do not exactly remember why I joined MAL. In the past, I do remember coming to the site alot before signing up. My first anime might have been Seto No Hanayome. I mean there was Dragon Ball Z & Naruto. But I did not get the true anime experience until much later. I think my favorite series might be The World God Only Knows. I keep coming back to it. Besides anime/manga, the majority of my free time is either spent on video games like Smash and Overwatach or music making, mostly Electronic. I'd be happy to discuss the details. Until then, See You Space Cowboy -or Cowgirl? -let's just settle for Cowperson |

Well it's hard to say but I really like how they show some of "reality" when you see gangs, mafia and police corruption. Also the gangs members has their struggles and sometimes collides with the "good guys" having some empathy between the two or more characters. And if it have some political conspiracy or another kind of conspiracy, better. |

Hey, my name is DJ Roxy and I live in the USA. I joined MAL because sometimes I can forget the anime I have watched so this was a nice way sort through all the anime I've watched and wanted to see. My first anime was actually Pokemon back when I was a lot younger and my favorite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho. My favorite genres are post-apocalyptic, action or battle shonen, physicological, and shounen-ai. When it comes to what I watch I won't be all that picky but I don't like hentai or smut anime. My other hobbies include writing, drawing, playing videogames, and arts and crafts. |

Hi I'm Hydrozer (14 turning 15 soon) and I'm from Australia. My family is mostly from Argentina so it is my second language so I can read and understand Spanish but I suck at talking in Spanish. I mainly joined MAL just so I could record all of the anime that I watch but then I also learnt that it's a good place to look for other anime's to watch and good for organising what you have watched and not. The first anime that I watched was SAO (which I watched all of) and enjoyed so I then continued to watch anime. I don't have a favourite anime but some of my favourite are serious hero, hanada-kun, one punch, sao and many others. tbh, my favourite genre is isekai because some reason I never get bored of it. I dislike mecha anime and sports but there are a few exceptions. That's basically it. If you got some recommendations, hit me up. |

Welcome to the club Roxy! Quite a broad variety of favourite genres, do you know any post-apocalyptic shounen-ai? Would be actually curious to give one a look Seeing your name, do the arts of creating music apply to you? x) Otherwise, what games are you playing at the moment? Pretty much the other way around for me, I can't read Vietnamese, can only moderately speak but understand pretty good. And totally agree, MAL's versatility is great. Being "strange, but well dressed" is WAY better than being simply cute. Stay strange! It's the wave of the future =:3 )) The somber expression on a cute animal is intriguing. What is the character's name and what anime are they from, please? |

ymasumac said: Earlier in life, could you possibly have foreseen that you would one day write something like, "postapocalyptic shounen-ai"? Anime is a mind-blowing thang, for sure. To be honest, I would've never thought I would ever say "postapocalyptic shounen-ai". Just like I didn't know I would actually get into shounen-ai until I got past the point of no return. |

Looks like I need to watch that (I started watching when it was new, then stopped for some reason and never picked it back up.). I love weird peripheral characters in anime--often way more than the main characters. |

So.….my name is Caesar (not real name, but it would be cool if it was) and I am from the UK. I joined MAL because I love anime, and I love making lists of things, and honestly I would have completely lost track of all of the anime I'd seen if I didn't join MAL. My first anime was Tokyo Mew Mew, at the age of 11, and my favourite series has to be JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, if you couldn't tell already. My favourite genres are horror, thriller and anything really that's supernatural or psychological, even though technically I haven't seen that many. I don't like romance in any form, it makes me cringe, and I'm too pure for hentai and ecchi (I guess?). I'm generally uninteresting everywhere else, I just play video games, listen to heavy metal and study for my biomed course. Ok, this intro got really long, I'll just sign off and hope to enjoy my time in this club! |

Yo I'm Pwint and I am from the UK. I joined MAL because I love anime and manga and I love making lists of them, and I wanted to keep track of all of the anime/manga I'd seen/read. My favourite genres for anime are seinen and psychological thriller, even though I haven't seen that many. I used to really like shonen but now I don't watch that much. As for manga I love reading shojo manga/manhwa. I look forward to joining this club! |

A very nice first anime to watch! My first anime was naruto. It was very epic back when I was a kid! My main genre is Comedy slice of life (sometimes Romcom slice of life) I watch actions too but rarely (Jojo was really fire) I love ecchi too ofc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)! I hope you enjoy your stay here and nice to meet you! ~XUwUX |

I kinda love psychological thriller but mostly never watched (traumatize if the mc is suffering). My main genre is Comedy slice of life. I like how laid back the series are in Comedy slice of life series. I love watching Comedy SOL after a long day at school (introvert's life XD). I like reading Romcom mangas like boku no kokoro yabai no yatsu (one of my favorite manga). I hope you enjoy your stay and stay safe on quarantine! ~XUwUX |

Hey, everyone! Name My username is ThatOneSpriter, but you guys can call me Cory. It's not my real name, but it's much more convenient to call me that in the first place. Country I happen to live in the part of Canada that has a lot of inconsistent weather. The one good thing about it is the low tax rate, which makes a lot of food you buy here really cheap. Why did I join MAL? I joined MAL because I wanted to keep track of the anime that I've watched/plan to watch, and also because I want to get back into the habit of watching anime. It's really cool to peek, compare and see people's tastes. I also wanted to improve upon the trash anime I've watched. First anime that I watched My first memory was watching Slam Dunk in the Philippines as a kid. I'm planning on rewatching it very soon. Favorite anime/manga My favorite anime of all time has to be Naruto for personal reasons, but at the moment, Seishun Buta Yarou really captured my heart and mind in ways I didn't know before. Favorite genres Right now, I'm trying to expose myself to a lot of romance anime, and slice-of-life stuff to mature from the shonen maniac that I was in my teens. I also like a lot of psychological or drama. Genres that you don't like Haven't found one yet thankfully, but mecha does not really appeal to me. I say that I'm trying to mature from shonen, but I also want to explore more other than Naruto. Hobbies As for hobbies, I play piano, guitar and sing. I also make comics in my spare time. Closing remarks I look forward to being acquaintances with y'all!~ |

Hello everyone:) I'm Nagi from Germany. I grew up with 90s anime and I think the first one I ever watched was Heidi (without knowing haha). I really love adventure, romance, fantasy, history and just uplifting fun anime (I really dislike ecchi and harem, but some of my all times favorites have those genres). I recently re-read Inuyasha and now I am rewatching the anime, so I'm really looking forward to the sequel Yashahime. Although it's not a Takahashi original, I'm looking forward to what the writers came up with. Next to anime, I really love sports (especially figure skating) and singing. I also have a Youtube channel where I post English/Japanese anime covers. Please visit me if you are interested. Let's talk a lot about anime<3 Yoroshiku onegai shimasu~ Nagi |
