Don't sweat it - I also don't always come right away to posting

Yes, the situation is ridiculous there, but I can't say that we're role models, either
Especially not the ones that go partying on foreign beaches or are from the "event scene" (new word for the anarchists)
I've only read a bit about it, but do federal police officers go against the will of a state? And are there still police-free zones in cities?

Oh okay; those are quite some big names
Jung is a German-Swiss and also has German ancestors
Only from Novalis, I haven't heard anything from

Well, I don't feel too strongly about human studies, but if it helps people, then I don't mind
There is also a museum "body worlds"
Aside from that, Lenoardo da Vinci was a polymath

Thanks for mentioning the book; I have read about it, although not in full, because I can't focus on it

But I like this quote:

All these years, in short, I had assumed that in art, if nowhere else, seeing is believing. Well—how very shortsighted! Now, at last, on April 28,1974,1 could see. I had gotten it backward all along. Not “seeing is believing,” you ninny, but “believing is seeing,” for Modern Art has become completely literary: the paintings and other works exist only to illustrate the text.

I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, it does seem that things have been stripped of local identity, on the other hand, the German culture seems still far, far away from vanishing like that. It's simply way too big to be simply wiped off and there are traces of German culture on all continents (maybe not really in Antarctica)

"And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22)

I do disagree with part of what you're saying, though. As it says in Ephesians 4-5, there is "One body and one Spirit; as you are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism." To imply that there are multiple "types" of Christianity goes against the singular will of the singular God, and in all civility I must state that here.

If you would like to PM instead of continuing to trade comments, that may be better.

Are you Catholic as well?
Luchse Jul 14, 2020 7:31 AM
By checking my notifications. I've seen the first post you made but not the second, so I had to check my mail inbox to see who made the latter.
Luchse Jul 14, 2020 6:26 AM
Oh, no never mind. You deleted your posts, so I attributed that to mods erasing the thread lol. Should've checked it beforehand.
Luchse Jul 14, 2020 6:18 AM
Was that thread just nuked?

MAL tend to have some conservative user(*like me*), but, they hide in the closet.

Tucker Carlson segment are 10/10. I highly enjoyed it. Full-blown redpill.

Twitter are willing to censor conservative voice.
ApacheSnow69 Jul 13, 2020 9:20 PM
Your welcome :)

Yeah..... cancel mobs are f*cking cancer. Mainstream media are spreading race-baiting. Tucker Carlson is my #1 news source.

You should check out @HollowIchigo58. He hated SJW

I get ya, the 2 ranges near me are super busy right now with people anxious about the riots, same is true of most of the gun shops here they can’t keep pistols,AR15s or shotguns on the shelves.

I tend to like military surplus guns so I have a Finnish Mosin 91/30, Bulgarian makarov, and polish P64. I have a thing for Commie guns, I really want a tokarev and an SKS but given everything going on in the world I’ve gotta save money unless the price is just to good not to jump on.I find it satisfying for me to shoot better with a outdated 50 year old service pistol then the guy in the next stall with a new glock.

Sorry to hear you haven’t been able to go to the range in the past few years that sucks. Given world Events I’m trying to Conserve ammo, especially pistol ammo, I may take the mosin out soon since I’ve seen 7.62x54R in stores recently, 9x18 Makarov is unfortunately difficult to get right now.

Ya the radical leftist are out of control, sadly they don’t value your rights to freedom of speech much less your rights to own firearms. And their defund the police plan is gonna to end badly as most of the city’s defunding their police forces are already experiencing rising crime. also school districts pulling police off campus is a terrible idea... hell 2 years ago their were saying we needed more police and security on campus in the wake of Parkland.

As best I can tell the lefts in full meltdown mode the commies who backed Bernie are done trying democracy and are content to just set shit on fire till local governments kneel ( literally it would seem) ... I think Trump likely wins in November as people tend to remember seeing cop cars on fire, the murder of police and citizens by a mob of angry commies and a media that wouldn’t condemn that violence.

ChadAznable0079 Jul 12, 2020 6:32 PM
Hi thanks for the FR. indeed guns are an expensive hobby, I think I’ve been to the range one or twice since March :(

I used to go twice a week.

Do you own any guns?
Noboru Jul 7, 2020 1:49 PM
Don't sweat it; you can take your time

Simpatico? Sympathy? Feeling and suffering with the author? And if you mean "cute girls doing cute things", then it also depends on whether the characters can put someone on fire (Moé)

You may be right that some quality criteria can be made about the arts, about how diverse and how fitting the BGM sounds, and about the characters and their development, but in the end, how much which category counts is purely subjective. Also, people can find the precious inside an Anime even if most others don't. Just take School Days for example, which is disliked by many precisely because of the characters

Thanks for the explanation and the quote fits very well ^^
Do you understand German? If so, I highly recommend watching the two videos in the OP of my thread if you haven't already
"Real art" is a skill and this inspiring quality for better quality and better skills is what's been missing

What do you mean with "uncommon anatomical understanding of the horse"?

I'm not the type to get on fire that easily, but I do wish I could do things more passionately. Seeing and lamenting about the run-down state of arts and architecture was alongside talking about the German culture two major topics I used to be the most passionate about here

Alright, take your time and it's a pleasure to see someone else appreciate my thread and even use my examples :D
Noboru Jul 5, 2020 4:57 AM
Well, now you have MAL for that ^^
But doesn't every Anime "speak" to us?
Also, what's bad or not is more often than not purely subjective

You're welcome
What do you mean by "real versus ersatz art"? Are those technical terms that exist in English?
And what do you mean by "remain in a heightened aesthetic state"?

I'm glad and go ahead: I'm curious about your thoughts :)
Noboru Jul 4, 2020 9:17 AM
No problem; I'm pleased to see more targeted requests

Well, there are people who don't like necro-ing old threads, but there is a difference if it's a thread asking for something that stops being relevant after some while or if it's a time-less thread talking about something.
The only official rule is to not necro threads in Current Events that are older than two weeks, but the enforcement is inconsistent:

https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=516111

So by all means, do post there if you want to add something
That's the whole reason why I've kept the thread in my signature, even if I may not be as passionate in talking about it as I used to

You're welcome; how did you keep track of the episodes before?
Noboru Jul 4, 2020 3:00 AM
Thanks for the request and by all means: do write in the thread so that others can hear you as well

I see that you've enjoyed GTO very much as well, so since it's not in your list yet, I highly recommend reading the Manga. Especially since only around 14 of 25 volumes have been animated and there's no TV-adjusted censorship
It’s time to ditch the text file.
Keep track of your anime easily by creating your own list.
