| I read somewhere that a politician in Japan was trying to remove porn censorship laws in Japan and made me think that maybe some people prefer to watch hentai censored. So I wanted to ask the wise members of Mal Do you think that hentai will be less appealing to you if it is uncensored? |

| ...no, I don't. I don't agree with it, but I know some people have made the argument that censorship helps with ecchi because it leaves more to the imagination, but I can't imagine why anybody would want that to be the case with hentai. Or any porn in general, really. |

| Nah, the censoring is just due to an antiquated law that probably won't be repealed for at least 20 years because of parents groups, which are more powerful in Japan than elsewhere. |

| I don't watch pornography anymore but one of the appeals of Japanese adult videos was due to the censorship it was almost as if the stories were more creative just to compensate. American videos were always simple stories like, "the plumber has come to lay pipe" or "the pizza delivery guy is here to deliver with extra sausage." Basic, uninspired stories. Hentai and JAV were 3 hour long Epics, insane categories, and more variety . |
