| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The episode started a bit slow with a few flashbacks (no surprise, because of the big filler-arc before) and then went very interesting. I like when they use such special rules, a battle royale with four duelists *-* There is no big risk and imo it doesn't matter that much who wins or loses, but it's nice to see how Kaiba wants to face Yugi first. |
| Finally the tournament is back! If I remember well, this is going to be the best part of the show. |

| Ugh I love it when they throw new/interesting duel set ups at us. I didn't even think they could protect someone else at the same time. Oh, and I like how they threw even more banter between Kaiba and Joey at us. "One potato, two potato..." |
| damn that Noah arc... not that it was that bad per se, just a really awkwardly timed and long-winded interjection... I am really struggling to remember details regarding any of the finer plot points that occurred leading up to it. I had to go review the quarter final match-ups to jog my memory |
| A really great start. some love-square ya got there, Yugi Guess: 1st one to get to the top would be Kaiba 2nd is Yugi 3rd is Jounouchi 4th is Malik. Frezlaj said: Finally the tournament is back! | God the amount of recapping was annoying. I get it, they had to make sure that the audience was caught up to events that happened before the filler arc, but anyone who was a dedicated fan of the show would've already known what previously happened. :/ I liked how Yugi saving Jounouchi from Kaiba's attack was done with an actual Trap Card in this episode as opposed to Yugi having Big Shield Gardna intervene like he did in the manga. |
| Finally, back to canon content. I didn't mind the re-cap as someone who watches the show sparingly, and it is understandable why, but the Battle Royale is so entertaining to watch, I love how they activate the trap cards, bouncing the attack like it's a ball. |
