guys, what do you usually do in times of crisis? (read: hiatus, taking a break from anime). i'll picture the situation for you, anime was 90% of your life, one day you wake up and you can't watch anything anymore, literally, it feels like alien shows for you- very distant, no connection but problem is you don't know what else there is to do, demon lord is ready to take your soul-

anyone, save me!!!

Yeah, just focus on another hobby. I'm even more into music and gaming than anime, but it's up to you what to go for.

For starters, it's indeed easy when you got a hobby and something interests you. But the thread put emphasis that anime was pretty much your only hobby. I reach out to those that can relate, not those that get bitter and lack empathy.
Next :)

Have you tried reading a book/manga?

There are plenty of options - games, books, manga. You can also start working out/running/swimming - it's fun!

My favorite thing to do when I'm bored is to prepare for zombie apocalypse. It's really exciting and it increases your motivation to be active.

Interesting lol
How do you exactly prepare for a zombie apocalypse? (sounds fun)

@Tylaen manga's don't particularly work for me, but i tried books, yes! yet.. i have a hard time finishing them and not sure to what degree they fulfil me how anime used to :/

Oh, it's so fun (and actually useful)! I love searching and buying stuff online, so I started with stocking up on canned food, then moved to portable solar panels, water filters and EDC. I also read a lot of stuff about wilderness survival and camping. And of course - you have to run as much as you can (you can imagine you are running from zombies, there's even an app for that!)! And workout! I love to imagine like when the outbreak will happen I'll save my family/friends/bf from every danger (it'll most def be vice versa irl, lol).
I also like to turn on nature sounds when I'm lying in bed and imagine like I'm in a barn and the rain is pouring outside. And the zombies are out there somewhere... Unfortunately I can't do it very often, but when I can - it's epic!

And btw why not trying to read short stories? Ray Bradbury has really nice ones! And don't forget about games - I highly recommend Blade & Soul, you can make a cute character like this

Yeah I get that. So what do you want me to say? Or what advice do you have for OP then? Just grind it out? Force yourself to watch more anime? Because that is the only other option.

Wait a sec - you are the OP lol. You wrote that post like a completely different person.

watching more anime isn't working, i've tried few days ago and can't focus at all. movies (3d) bore me, books - can't finish them, agh im in a complete sticky lump
another option would be to wait until i feel better i suppose

why was i having so much fun already while reading your post (damn, i gotta try this tonight!)
nature sounds are something i like listening to, or just morning birds chirp when i open the window- but i'd usually use it for relaxation rather than zombie outbreak. man i won't be able to listen to the rain drops the same again :D thank you!

as for games, i really don't see myself playing but why is everyone i know lately recommending me games... maybe it's the universe giving me hints lol
really appreciate your help, given how the current virus hasn't had its impact on me i will immerse in my fantasy zombie apocalypse :):):)

try something new. watch some older anime. rewatch some of your favorites. seasonals being delayed can't be that big of a crisis since they only release week by week so it's not like that takes up a whole lot of time... so you can't be that lost.

maybe try some western tv.
