Firstly, nice profile pic , and now coming to the art style, indeed it improved drastically over the years. It's one the best manhwa out there in terms of artwork, and surely the best in terms of plot, worldbuilding and Characters. So new readers who got disappointed by seeing the few initial chapters, just read on , and by the time you would caught up to the latest chapters, the artwork will be 10 billion times better

Damn, you made me realize even more about how good the artwork is compared to early chapters of season 1.
Go read 'Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece' If you like webnovel with historical, military and kingdom building genre.

I still dont like any art from manhwa/Manhua, some are fun but the backgrounds look awful. Ive never seen a manhwa with better than average background throughout the entire story.

And this does not change my opinion on that ;)

These are actual screenshots from the manhwa. It's in the album I linked above.

It amazes me how much the art keeps getting better, on the 1st season it was so bad, but it kept getting better and better throughout the seasons. It shows the will of SIU of getting better. It really makes me glad.

You mean the quality of the story? I wrote a review here, hope it helps https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=331649

Can check out the rest of the reviews too. Imo the story evolves, and Season 1 (up to chapter 79) is just the prologue of a story of a much bigger scale. The focus changes, and reading the wiki + the author's blogposts helps with understanding the world building too.

It's a very specific genre, no big deal if you don't like it, but I'd say the story now is very different from the story back then. The MC changed, the setting changed, the goals changed, the focus and narration of the story changed. Whether it's an improvement or not is up to you, but personally I liked them very much.

What do you think of this manhwa/webtoon? The art, in the beginning, is one of the best I've seen. It's called 'the second coming of gluttony'.

I don't even care for the art, even if it looks utter shit but has interesting story/plot/characters I would most likely love it, Satoshi Mizukami's works being the prime example. But sadly, having read the first 50ish chapters of ToG when it first came out, I found nothing that could keep me invested anymore and I ended up dropping it. And I always have friends keep on telling me that it is One Piece of the Korean manhwas, but mind you, One Piece has been super interesting since panel number 1.

I might pick up the manhwa again once the anime ends, but I have close to zero expectations from it.

The artwork has changed to meet more common sensibiliites, idk if I'd go so far to say it's "improved".
Although I haven't read this series in 8+ years and don't really know what it's like now.

Idk man sometimes it is difficult to decipher what is going on.

Although I would still argue that his artwork is not as amazing compared to many other people's works, what he has done with Spirit Circle and Lucifer BH is amazing and I deeply respect him for creating them.

lol the complete opposite for me. I tried to get into One Piece because everyone is saying it’s similar to ToG, but I just couldn’t continue after 20 chapters. I tried reading the wiki even, but nothing interests me. Felt like something I might’ve enjoyed at 6 years old idk. The tone of narration is too off for me.

ToG on the other hand, I couldn’t stop reading, and finished 300 chapters in one go. Different preferences I guess.
