I just realized that KnY's cast is really small for battle shounen because this genre (I know shounen is not a genre shut it) usually introduces a lot of characters. Except the current Dimensional Fortress and the training arcs, each arc in KnY focuses only on a small number of people. The villains are pretty low in number as well (you can thank Muzan for that killing the LMs lmao).

For me yeah, its cast is small but at the same time really solid, i mean we know every character in the series, they are perfectly characterized, we go into their backstories and everyone gets a time in the spotlight.

The only character left to do something and to flesh out more is Iguro, but im pretty sure thats about to happen in any moment.

i think Mob Psycho and even Full Metal Alchemist having both fewer chapters than Demon Slayer are contenders too

i do agree with that.

And crocodile sensei has been using his source in such a weird way, i dunno how to describe but we just get to see one upper moon demon who was zenetsu's senior and then he is dead in the following chap.

i mean i get emotional very easily when it came to the characters' death but these deaths in KnY seems to be too fast and too forced. i seriously love the characters' design and stories and seriously want to know more about them. Fewer characters is not a problem. But the way he has been using his characters is just...nvm ;v

The only death that happened too fast for me was Rengoku because we've only seen him once from the Pillar meeting. Despite that, his death still managed to evoke some emotion form me because of the main trio's relationship with him.

Zenitsu's senior was a villain so he died like your typical demon in the manga. Although I do agree that we should have seen more of him. Those few appearances in Zenitsu's flashback weren't enough.
