If you completed 20 anime in one year, you probably took lot of breaks in between. I started watching in Jan this year and I am currently watching my 40th anime. I was a bit addicted in Feb, but I have reduced the watch time considerably.
Generally anime can be categorized by length into short, ideal and long anime. You can watch 50 ideal anime per year if you watch 3 eps or 1 hour daily. 1 hr daily will lead to 1 ideal anime completion per week.
I watch anime in a bit different manner, I watch short or ideal anime on week days and long anime on weekends.

Find some anime with a genre matching your taste, you'll be more into watching them. Or you can also watch anime depending on your moods it works too.

If you are a slow watcher, then try to watch other forms of anime such as ONA, OVA, music or movies. That way you can watch a large variety of anime that are short. A lot of these types of anime are very short, some are 2 minutes or less.

use every single free time you have to watch anime. I managed to complete 260 anime in one year, currently slowing down a lot though.

For example, when you eat, watch anime.

Wake up at 4 am, watch about 4 episodes, then get rdy for work/school.

When you get back home, do what you gotta do, then watch anime again.

Also, try focusing all your manpower on one anime at a time, you will increase the amount of completed anime doing so.

Try aiming for 12 episode anime, that way you get in as much completed anime as compared to watching long running shows.

And make sure you watch the specials/ova episodes of the anime (if there are one) to make it look like you're actually watching a lot!

I don't know if that exist in english but in french we can see the long animes like OP,
bleach, naruto in version 'Kai' and it's much faster to watch.

I do a math, like, if I count like every episode have 20 minutes and, for example, on Saturdays or Sundays you wake up on 9am and after 13am you have free time for all day, if is Saturday you count 8 hours of free time. If in 1 hour you watch 3 episodes (counting 20 mins per ep) in 8hrs you watch 24 eps (One season of an anime or an 12 eps anime). So just calculate your day '-'

Skip the OPs and EDs if you've already watched them. Skip the previews because they'll obviously be in the next episode. Watch specials or OVAs that recap a lot of episodes (not recommended so you'll still enjoy).

Option 1: Skip Filler episodes

Option 2: Watch short episode anime or 12 episode Anime maybe 25 is good aswell

Option 3: Watch anime in them you're intressted... -> Genres you like

Option 4: Stop the Anime and watch it again another day

Option 5: Watch 2x Speed

I suggest that you watch two or maybe even three animes at the same time. Like watch two episodes one day then the next day watch two episodes of another anime.

People shouldn't stress too much about anime. You shouldn't take it as a chore, you know?
