| Being an elitist doesn't necessarily mean you have to be a dickhead, please do not conflate these things. An elitist is a person with high standards, they may hold those standards unjunstly in which case you may call them a poser, they may seek to put others down for not conforming with their high standards in which you might call them short-tempered, petty or narcissistic, but the mere act of having high standards does not make you a bad person, if anything someone who puts others down for having high standards is the petty one in this scenario. |

| New generation anime fans, meet old generation anime fans. Let me tell you, it's not easy continuing to watch anime that's not aimed at you. It's not impossible, but it's so different, compared to how it was in my day. The painful part, is that it's aimed at you and those that come after you, leaving us old-timers behind. So some of us quit, others adapt and then there's the dreaded Elitist. I apologize on they're behalf, they couldn't adapt, but refuse to quit, a contradictory bunch. |
