| Hi everyone, So we thought the game was going to be ready during/before the shutdown. And then it wasn't. And then we thought the game was going to be ready by the 31st. And then it wasn't. And then we thought the game was going to be ready by 2 AM EST on Wednesday. And it's not looking promising. We agreed on a deadline of having every role in a real first draft form by 2 AM EST, Sept 1st. Which neither of us met. (I finished my part 24 hours late, Kaitou still hasn't finished (started?) the roles he was going to make.) So we're in a constant state of limbo, mostly due to a lack of motivation at this point. Kaitou doesn't seem motivated to work much on this at all, and I absolutely am nowhere near willing to take over this game as of yet. But all that isn't the fault of the players. There shouldn't be this level of inactivity at any level of the system. We should all just be able to rely on coming here to play/run mafia and enjoy ourselves. But it requires activity running smoothly at all levels, and I personally can't promise that here. As is, I probably should have sent this message a while ago. |

It's a large one at that so inactivity is bound to cause problems. I think lowering the number of players would help solve the issue of maintenance and inactivity, but well you already have what's needed. Best of luck handling the loose ends. Will be ready whether it lives or dies. \o |

| Yeah, I appreciate the honesty and open communication to us, as players. I hope that no matter what everything goes well. If it starts, then it'll be good fun. If it doesn't, then I don't blame you guys as it's a large thing to host together. Best of luck and what will be, will be. So either way I'm glad to even see this as a concept. It's a fun thing to at least think of even if it dies :D |

It really means a lot to me. A lot has happened since the game opened signs up. During May, I faced a situation that really messed up with my mental psyche for the entire month — it was really hard for me to get out of bed and get a lot of things done. It was really a devastating time for me. Thankfully I got the important things done but I really felt drained during almost the entire month, so it was really hard to focus on other things too. I tried my best. Near the end of the month, I wasn't fully recovered but I was feeling ready and focused, but then the two months long MAL shut down happened. Not knowing when it was ever going to come back, my focus shifted elsewhere, especially since it was hard for me to work on the game. I was really hoping MAL would come back sooner to host my game, but unfortunately, it's no longer summer. I have other projects in mind that I'm excited to work on, which gives me minimum time to focus on hosting this game. The Favorites series is one of my best creations, and it is not fair to it that I host it without enthusiasm. I wouldn't want to host a game where I can't give it my best. Hosting a game poorly would also disgrace that enthusiasm you guys have shown for this game to happen. You guys deserve better. For that, I offer my deepest and sincere apologies. However, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I still want to see this game through, even if it means that I'm not the one hosting it. I would be more than happy to pass the mantle to someone ready to host this beast of a game. So if you think you're capable, please don't hesitate to DM me on Discord or PM me here. Alternatively, this game will be postponed and will be hosted at a much later date. I will most likely start fresh and reopen sign-ups.
