When was the last time Studio Pierrot adapted something well?

If we look it at that way, then probably Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden as well if we exclude the filler crap (which is basically Pierrot's thing)

Prediction:
At this pace, Tsukiyama's arc will be resolved off screen in the next three episodes. At this time, Tsukiyama will appear in two scenes total, in one of which he doesn't even speak.

As a manga reader, I have to say I wasn't that disappointed infact I liked the first half of episode, the second half for me was rushed a bit.
It would have been better if the first episode had got a op and ed free episode so they could extend a bit more of serpent fight and investigation part. Or may be they could have given TG re a 45 min special like fate stay night. The major thing I want anime to do is explain the ghoul types and details regarding it.

>People still pretend that Tokyo Ghoul manga wasn't garbage and everything is the adaptation's fault, no, really. (Yes, I have read the manga, no, it's not on my list, I don't want it there).

The episode set some things up and it did so alright. I don't get why people call it ugly, since it's a bit above average, and in space compared to Root A.

I think Tokyo Ghoul manga is great and I'm just bitter and sad that it can't get a proper anime adaptation. With the first episode covering 6 chapters there is no chance that this will turn to be good adaptation. I just hope that one day some normal studio will readapt Tokyo Ghoul.

If you watched it to enjoy it instead of watching it to look for mistakes then you would have enjoyed the epiosde instead of being disappointed lol

I'm pretty sure most people watch things to enjoy it, but that doesn't mean you have to wear rose-tinted glasses and ignore the obvious. This show begun with a rocky start. It feels rushed, there's a lot happening with little breathing room for explanations because, from what I've read, they crammed six chapters into one episode.

Can't you get it yet these haters are neither kids nor any real users they are fake users created by Bones studio to make matters worse for Tokyo ghoul re and Pierrot so that they could make quit up streamers from this anime otherwise their boku no hero academia s3 will get unnoticed by most spectators which is going to air from this Saturday.

What are you even talking about? Do honestly think that Bones knows, let alone cares about some random, shitty anime website? Pierrot is regarded as one of the worst studios, and after what they did to the original series, obviously people are expecting this series to be total garbage as well.

I wouldn't call it disappointing but as a person who doesn't really like the tgre manga itself, I feel that the anime gave me the same impression.

I just don't prefer Ishida's style of telling the stories from completely different tone and character viewpoint while putting the old characters on a minimum focus in :re.

And Kaneki? Well, he's a bit anomaly here because technically it's him but on a completely different personality, but I'm not really taking it on him but with the quinx squad that I could care less about.

I don't like the OP but the ED fits really well. I'm not feeling the designs as well, but in all honesty, it's not a really bad start. I like how it adapted more chapters than usual. They probably want to avoid the problem in Root A, so that they got more time to cover stuffs.

If they were going slow, they would not be able to cover much, the manga now has more chapters than the first one, they will probably rush over alot of details and do most of the action and the main plot i would guess, would be nice when the manga is finished that someone did TG and TG re into a proper long series, but i doubt such a gore series would get that many episodes that would be required.

Yeah, the series should've ended with 143 chapters imo.
The sequel is filled with way too many characters, and the plot is a clusterfuck.
the art when colored looks great though.

Sadly true. I think the first 60 chapters or so of :Re were still good but after that it turned into a huge trainwreck. The latest arc is just weird and I don't care for the MC anymore + there are definitely way too many useless characters

Of all the manga I've seen so far, Tokyo Ghoul had the largest quality drop right next to Akame ga Kill and Naruto.

Yep (and Bleach as well), its a huge shame. I just pretend Kaneki's story ended with the original Chapter 143 now. Its a good open ending.

Unlike with Naruto and AgK I don't see much criticism for TG:re being a trainwreck though. Somehow most are still enjoying it..
