I didn't get how there could be more chapters, cause the series was wrapped up with chapter 155, couldn't find anything related to having more than that on the web, any ideas or may this simply be a mistake on the chapter count on MAL?

Sometimes MAL includes the special chapters to the count. Like GTO, it has 200 chapters but listed as 208 chapter in which the 8 chapters is a special titled "Tomoko's Big Adventure".

From what I've seen online, there's actually 162 chapters, the 159 that cover the extra chapters, I have viz's collection that has all 159, and 3 viz didn't publish, 1 of which I've only read online. The one I read is a short chapter with no action in it, the top 3 of the last male generation meet up and talk about virtually everyone awakening, and they meet the first female claymore, riful. The other two chapters are sort of interviews with the author things. Not many authors make a habit of doing a lot of those

As far as I can infer, MAL's policy when it comes to manga chapters is to count anything published directly alongside the volumes as a chapter. If a special chapter was released standalone in a magazine, and never published inside a volume, MAL tends to ignore it, or release it in its' own separate database entry.

Even had these been included in a volume these wouldn't be considered chapters, as it's more just bonus content alongside the main series, and too meta for it. Think of it like the authour's afterword, as it were.

actually, that's exactly what they are, I just forgot what to call them. I was reading inside marie on CR, they included the author's afterword to finish volumes, which was mostly about her cat. and I have excel saga which includes rikdo koshi's afterword every few chapters, mainly abut funny things that's happened while writing it

There are 4 extra chapters total in Vol. 13 and 14 respectively. They revolve around the pasts of Teresa, Miria, Pricsilla, and Clare. I know because I just read them.

Probably they count the extra chapters as well. Some sites have only the regular ones. The extra chapters are very important in understanding the background of characters.. If you do not read them you miss a lot.
