Gator said: Sounds like you just had bad teachers though :3 Better believe it, no matter how bad your country is, we'll be worse >:3 Nah, I think there's still a far margin between us. You've been playing way longer than me as well ^^ I have to memorize them too, though some simple parts I'm almost able to play just by reading. Slowly I notice the notes immediately, at least the simple ones :3 Yeah apart from Crunchyroll there isn't really a streaming service worth using only for anime ^^ Maybe? At least you made it sound like a fun festival :3 For now, not for longer though ^^ I need some advice, what should I start watching? T_T Ansatsu Kyoushitsu 2nd Season Seitokai Yakuindomo Owarimonogatari 2nd Season Jitsu wa Watashi wa Musaigen no Phantom World Dagashi Kashi Mahou Sensei Negima! Haiyore! Nyaruko-san Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to Cross Ange Well yeah that much is obvious, but when the students of the other studies have the same experiences as you except with less classes about the actual job then that doesn't give me a very good impression :3 That's not something to be proud of >:3 Only if we're talking about the piano though. I haven't been playing piano for 10 years :3 I can't. Not even the easiest of songs can I read and play at the same time xD And crunchyroll is only really viable for currently airing shows and if you live in america (or use a vpn) :3 If you do then good luck even getting here because it's in the middle of nowhere for as far as the government and public travel are concerned xD I hope so, but I haven't found anything about this issue on google so far :3 From that list I've only seen ansatsu kyoushitsu 2, musaigen, dagashi kashi and jitsu wa watashi wa. And from that list I'd recommend ansatsu kyoushitsu :3 |

At least I know that in Bavaria we need more teachers who know about IT ^^ I know, but we need to be proud of something >:3 Me neither, only guitar. And that isn't helping much ^^ Well I'm near the level of people like Kyle Landry or lara6683, but maybe I'll eventually get there in 40 years xD Yeah for me it's not an option either... which leaves me with nothing legal T_T Ah damn and I thought it would be a known spectacle with lots of visitors ^^ Not even a bugticket? Maybe you should open one then? :o Alright, AssClass 2 it is. I'll prepare myself for more alien- and bitch-acation :3 |

If you do ever plan on coming here by public travel I can tell you how to come here :3 It's also on the "List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Netherlands" if that means anything outside of funding :3 Not sure where those are even filed, but I must first determine if downgrading really does fix it :3 Sounds good :3 |

Do you even do any work or are you just holding meetings all week? xD Well, not without mistakes yet, but I can at least play it all the way now :3 Yeah it does. For me there are 2 ways to get to arnhem by train, but I always take the long way round via zutphen because the alternative which is nice and direct and thus should be way faster is so dayem unreliable that barely anyone even tries to take that route xD Well, yesterday I found something that seems like a solution. I installed laravel homestead. This is basically a cross-platform disposable web server stack which includes all kinds of stuff like php, mysql, postgres, memcached, redis, nodejs, composer and nginx and runs in a virtual machine (usually virtualbox) through vagrant :3 I can now just type in the terminal "vagrant up" and I can access my website on the guest system while I keep my code on the host :3 It even seemed like the sessions worked and I had a proper php installation. Since it does run in a VM though I did notice a pretty significant slowdown in performance. It can apparently be sped up with NFS though ^^ At least there's drama in season 2 >:3 So since you have to attend all these meetings on new applications to maintain, how many applications do you have to maintain at once by now? :3 I'm doing fine I guess. Got homestead working, played some more piano and watched episode 4 of overlord. Best episode thus far definitely, but the arc is still not over xD So how're you doing today? Assuming you have any time at all today to come here early enough to respond to this question :P Ardanaz said: Morning! @Gator @Tyrantarmy6: Do you guys know how to target IE only in css? In 10 and 11 this is unfortunately no longer supported. So an alternative is to detect IE with javascript and load a class on the body in case it's detected. We have this done automatically here with jquery migrate, but I doubt you can use that with reactjs :3 Normally I would suggest feature detection as it's more accurate and reliable than checking a specific browser, but in this case you could probably use this function :3 function getInternetExplorerVersion() { var rv = -1; if (navigator.appName == 'Microsoft Internet Explorer') { var ua = navigator.userAgent; var re = new RegExp("MSIE ([0-9]{1,}[\.0-9]{0,})"); if (re.exec(ua) != null) rv = parseFloat( RegExp.$1 ); } else if (navigator.appName == 'Netscape') { var ua = navigator.userAgent; var re = new RegExp("Trident/.*rv:([0-9]{1,}[\.0-9]{0,})"); if (re.exec(ua) != null) rv = parseFloat( RegExp.$1 ); } return rv; } It returns the version of IE and -1 if not IE. Edge will also return -1 :3 Alternatively if you don't want to rely on javascript I guess you could try some IE hacks, but I always question how well these work. I have used some in the past where I had to work with IE7 though :3 For example: .some_selector {/* some css rules */} .some_selector::-ms-backdrop {/* some css rules */} Or: .some_selector {color: red\9;} .some_selector {color: red\0;} |

You could also use that function to do something like this :3 if(getInternetExplorerVersion() !== -1) { var style = document.createElement('link'); style.rel = 'stylesheet'; style.type = 'text/css'; style.href = 'http://example.com/somestylesheet.css'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(style); } If my plain javascript skillz haven't failed me too much that should add a stylesheet to the head only when you're using IE :3 I don't know how you would do that with reactjs though :3 But honestly, I think all methods result in usage of a function like that one way or another since as you've already discovered yourself, IE css hacks like the media query one you mentioned aren't exactly reliable :3 I don't need IE specific code a lot anymore, but when I do I can simply do this in my css because the javascript adds a class to the body :3 .ie .some_selector {/* some rules */} .ie11 .some_selector {/* some rules */} |

Ohayou~ :3 I had another migraine attack yesterday evening, so I'm not at work today and won't be online much T_T Ardanaz said: Morning! @Gator @Tyrantarmy6: Do you guys know how to target IE only in css? I did @media all and (-ms-high-contrast: none), (-ms-high-contrast: active), but that targets other browsers too :/ I'm afraid I'm not a big CSS expert, but luckily that seems to be up Tyrant's alley ^^ Tyrantarmy6 said: Ohayou~ :3 I'm gonna have to ask this again. Assuming you have any time at all today to come here early enough to respond to this question :P Hey I'm only holding day-long meetings on Tuesday and Thursday... and sometimes on Wednesday xD Impressive, I thought about recording me playing that one piece I can play fully now and putting it on my MAL profile, but I always make one or more mistakes ^^ If it's that unreliable I wonder why they even keep that route though, I mean that needs maintenance as well right? :3 Sounds good, virtualization is pretty big these days. As long as you can avoid the performance drop it should be fine. Wonder why it has MySQL and Postgres though ^^ Meh, gonna see about that then :3 Well it's basically only one big client application that includes two smaller server applications it communicates with though. And there are about 30 interfaces to other web services :3 Sounds good, my prefered subgroup still hasn't released Overlord episode 4 so far, I hope they'll do so later on so I can watch it this evening :3 I actually have the time, but as I already said I'm not feeling too well. Came home yesterday and during dinner I noticed those small spots while watching TV. I immediately went to bed and turned off all lights since I knew what was coming. My brain blocked for a few minutes, then my right half turned numb and then the headache started. Slept until about 30 minutes ago and now I'm feeling somewhat better. Maybe I can even go to work tomorrow again :3 |

I hope well enough to be with us today? :3 Don't forget the "exceptions" on monday and friday xD Recording yourself playing and then uploading that somewhere? I wouldn't even dare :3 Well, I don't know about the german train companies, but the dutch ones are really good at denying that there are problems :3 When I had it running on a normal apache2/php/mysql installation which I had installed manually I had about 20ms response times on average on an empty page. With homestead I'm looking at 180-200ms on average... I wonder which of the 2 is more representative of the performance it would have on an actual external hosting. At least I doubt it'd be anywhere near as performant as the former xD Probably because both mysql and postgres are used a LOT so to keep things easy and low configuration they included both? I mean, laravel (which is a framework built on top of symfony) is all about syntax sugar and ease of development :3 Are those interfaces all used? :3 I hope so for you as I'm pretty sure you'll like this episode :3 Is there a need to inform the doctor that you had another attack or something? :3 Are your colleagues informed of the reason of your absence if you slept till so late? :3 |

We'll just push the control to IE users. |

That's the best news obviously~ Now question, is it only IE where it doesn't work? I'm asking this because Edge is mostly just IE11 under the hood :3 Meanwhile I'm working on generating unique public ids for new members that register on a site :3 If we had access to something other than wordpress this would be so much less troublesome ^^ |

Can you add jQuery or something? How else are you supposed to do that? XD |
