| As if the unimaginative character designs, the generic world, and the simplistic canned dialogue weren't bad enough, Asta's screeching voice made the episode 10 times worse. The only time a VA made me wish they got throat cancer AIDS. RIP in peace headphones users. But since he has got demon powers, I guess that obnoxious screeching kind of fits his character. |

| It feels A LOT like Naruto and Fairy Tail but is interesting for sure. Animation was dope, Writing was meh, Characters was bad and Story was pretty fcking generic... A 6+/10 for me... |
| Seems like a pretty generic Shounen so far. I feel like Black Clover checked off sooooo many tropes just in the first episode. I have a soft spot for fantasy stories and the world seems kind of interesting, so I'm going to stick around for a few more episodes and endure the screaming. I feel like this series is going to end in a 5 for me unless something really goes south. |

| Ugh, finally I'm able to get used to Asta's annoying constant scream even though it was painful at first. I'm starting to believe that he is voiced by a parrot. I kinda like the concept and setting where magic is everything here, the people use it for doing daily tasks as if being able to use magic is on par with being able to write and read. I was hoping that Asta, being the only one who can't use magic, solved his problem via physical strength alone as he seems superior when it comes to it, kinda like Rock Lee and never received his grimoire but let's see how this goes. |

| Let me tell you something, this is much more than a shounen like Naruto. I will admit, it's not as good as some... but it is still great. The studio did a shit job in finding a voice actor though, and the director must be shit in telling the voice actor to scream every second. I read the first 9 chapters of the manga so I know that it'll start getting better and better in a couple of episodes, can't wait for this because I love underdog stories! |
| Ngl, the voice will take some getting used to but I wouldn't say it doesn't fit. Enjoyable first episode. Seems generic af but I'm not gonna criticise the show for it. Not the biggest fan of magic so I have my doubts on whether I'll stick with this or not. |

| it's rare for me to dislike an anime by it's first episode. this is one of those rare cases where i dislike it by it's first episode. fucking awful. the only other anime i've disliked by it's first episode are kantai collection and abunai sisters. |

| I honestly cannot watch this...I gave it five minutes of my life and I wont be able to get Asta's voice out of my head for a while. Holy God I didnt think terrible voice acting could make me drop an anime this quickly but damn was I wrong. I actually heard good things about this so I guess I'll read the manga and see where it goes. It just looks generic to me. =/ |

| This first episode wasn't terrible, though I don't know for how long I can stand to listen to Asta hollering about everything in sight. He's too obnoxious for me to like as a MC. I can understand the that the writer/director may have wanted to present a shitty-brat-with-seemingly-no-talent and looked-down-on-by-everyone in the beginning of the anime to show Asta's growth over time, but to make him so unbearable to listen to as to drive people away from the anime? Is that wise? |
| A year ago I picked up the manga at a recommendation from a friend and I loved it so when I heard an anime adaptation was coming out I might have broken a glass or two... from screaming with excitement. I can say that Asta's voice acting was kinda what I expected. Though only 1 thing bothered me a little bit about this episode was those chains at the end. I enjoyed it and am excited to see episode 2 |

| And here I thought MC would have an interesting chara development, as a guy with absolutely no magic in a magical world. But they just had to give him Sword of Infinity+1 at the end of the episode. Well, I'll still watch a few more episodes to see if it's decent at the very least. And ewwwwwww at the CG iron chains. I swear I wish anime studios just stop with this nonsense. |
