Good old Robin Hood is a good example for that. There is also the grey area in real life but since we are talking about basic shows no need to talk about it. |
| Akame ga Kill!, basically. The Night Raid, a group of assassins, are the good guys, and the Empire, the main goverment of the world of the series, is corrupt and evil, so, even if they kill people, their actions actually help the world, since they eleminate every corrupt officer of the Empire they are sended to kill. To a lesser scale, is also Nanatsu no Taizai, where a group of knights named The Seven Deadly Sins (term who is always related to negative connotations), who were framed for a crime they didn't commited, are the good guys and fight against the Holy Knights, who are a group of elite knights who dethroned the benevolent king of the kingdom of Liones and use their influence to commit various crimes over innocent people. |

| +1 Code Geass, you should watch it anyway because it is great. +1 Death Note, though there aren't bandits and kings and whatever. +1 Akame Ga Kill, this one is one of the most hated anime there is, I don't dislike it though, just see for yourself I guess, but it has exactly what I think you ask for. |
