As the title says, i need a heart-warming countryside anime, just like Non Non Biyori and Flying Witch. Happy atmosphere and little drama, i'm up for anything.

Btw, another anime that you recommends to me has good ratings too, i gonna put it on my plan to watch list.
Thank you very much!

Tamayura

More of a comedy/SoL in semi-rural/small town area:
Denpa Onna

Lots of scenes walking outdoors, wooded areas, etc. except it's kinda melancholy in places:
Natsume Yuujinchou

Lot of time spent travelling in countryside, minimal drama except near the end:
Space Spice and Wolf :p

Sakura Quest concerns five young women who try to resuscitate tourism in a small village. It's currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

(Yes, the MC looks a lot like Miyamori Aoi of SHIROBAKO. Both shows come from P.A. Works.)

Kumamiko takes place in a very rural setting and features a young miko and her over-protective guardian bear. I liked most of the show but eventually decided there was too much demeaning of the main girl. Has a cute ED though:

Much of the film Kaguya-hime no Monogatari takes place in a rural area, but the setting is ancient Japan.

Ghost Hound takes place in a rural area, but I wouldn't call it "heart-warming."

Sorry, only ones I know are with drama, or have already been watched. :(

I for the moment dropped it because found ep.01+02 to be disappointing - I wanted to watch it because the unusual location (Seto Inland Sea), but all I got was urban, could have been almost anywhere. Had it not been for the "picturesque" architecture, then even Tokyo - well, maybe not Tokyo, but any midsized town? :(

Will this get any different? I mean, more noticeably "Seto-Inland-Sea"?

most adorable typo of the month.

Maybe you should go and trademark that - I mean, I would maybe watch sth. with that title.
Ookami in Space ...

You kind of already listed the best one in Non Non Biyori. Silver Spoon and Barakamon are the other best options for that setting. If you want something maybe in a different setting but with a similar feel, check out Aria and K-On (especially season 2). They both have the kind of melancholic but relaxing, fun, and heartwarming feeling NNB provides (they all explore a resonant Japanese idea called Mono no Aware), and all are among my favorite anime of all time.

These are the top I know:-

Barakamon (countryside, heartwarming, relaxing)

Flying Witch (countryside, relaxing, slight supernatural powers that don't affect the calming theme)

Non Non Biyori (countryside, heartwarming, relaxing)

Some people suggest Aria the animation, but I only watched episode 1 and I felt I'm not comfortable with the theme of the anime, however it might be different with you!

It's small-town/semi-urban. IIRC in a later episode they go hiking and check out a nice view of the sea. As far as enjoyment goes I liked it better than Non Non Biyori -- especially the Maon character who communicates chiefly by whistling. If she doesn't melt everyone's heart then, well, they need to watch different shows altogether. Which reminds me, I need to get to the sequels.

I was thinking ahead to the Cowboy Bebop/ Spice & Wolf cross-over recently announced...

Lol jk...I must've had to leave the house right away and so didn't get a chance to check my work.

Natsuiro Kiseki is one of my favourites. The series take place in the real town Shimoda (下田) on the Izu peninsula.

If you want to watch a heart-warming and comic anime, I recommend "Working!!" as the characterization is very strong and the story is captivating while you can still feel relaxed and enjoying the show. In fact, I am also looking for the same type of series you want. So do you recommend "flying witch" for me? I am currently watching Non Non Biyori and was wondering if there is one that resembles it in terms of setting. Unfortunately, Working!! does not include scenery, but don't worry, the story and characters are enough to enjoy your time.

Hope we both find what we are looking for (*^o^*). Good luck 👍

I haven't watched it, but I think Akage no Anne might fit the bill. It's a critically acclaimed anime, but just keep in mind that it's an older anime so the artwork may be slightly jarring to you.
