| Don't get me wrong Griffith is an amazing character with beautiful ideals and passion for his dream but I can never forgive him for what he has done. The murder and sacrifice of all his friends and comrades of The Band of the Hawk all to be seen before Guts is something that is forever etched into my brain making me hate Griffith ever so much every time I see his smug face. I only want his dream to perish even if it is for the greater good of everyone and I long for the day the Black Swordsman caves his skull in. That is all. ^_^ Does anyone else feel this angry about him or do you guys actually love him? |

| You can hate him as much as you like.. but you can't deny that he is a GREATLY-written villain. best villain eva! I find him to be the best character in Berserk. |
| I really like the contrast in colors between Guts and Griffith. Griffith is a villain, yet he's depicted in white lights and auras. Guts is the hero, yet is depicted in darker lights and auras. Hell, even their armor is different than what is normally seen when portraying a hero and villain. If you didn't know any better, you'd think Guts was the villain. They're both beautifully written, and both the characters have vices that make them more relatable and more believable. |
| I love him as a character (most complex and well written villain ever) but of course I hate him for what he did. Then again I wonder how much of it was by his own free will. He seemingly tried to kill himself moments before the Eclipse, he tried to impale his throat on a sharp piece of tree or wood. But it just would not happen. I wonder if he will come to his senses one day and regret what he did. A couple of apostles have sort of done so thus far. Then my hate for him would go away somewhat. Otherwise, I hope Guts one day shoves his sword up Griffiths ass. |

| He had to do it realize his ambitions and not be crippled the rest of his life. They wanted to lay down their lives for Griffith already when they joined him, it's like how kamikaze fighters in world War 2 volunteered and were disapointed when a couple of them weren't allowed to. I think of that rape part as just a dark pornographic add on to the story. I hate stories where characters go against their ambition and don't do necessary things. I would be very disapointed if he chose the opposite there. |

| I personally don't care for Griffith, and I'm pretty fed up with all the worship he gets in the manga from his new Band of Hawk and the general public who simply don't know any better. It upsets me that he willingly reused that name when he was the one responsible for slaughtering the real members. I don't care that it was all for his ambition and he was just following his dream. But when your dream involves the slaughter of the people you once called family, that's when you and your selfish desires need to fuck off. I support Guts and his party 100%, but it'll be hard to see how he ends up by the end of this story. I can't imagine he and his party will make it all out of this unscathed without many more personal tragedies. |

| Most Definitely My problem is Griffith never gave a damn about his comrades and thinks they would have sacrificed themselves for his dream. Wrong The Band of Hawk might have followed his dream but definitely wouldn't have want to slaughtered for nothing. And most of all the jealous reason he raped Casca. His character is so well written that some readers actually condone what happened. |
