I downloaded seasons 2, 3 and 4 from here, but I think I got the first season elsewhere. I don't remember where, but I probably looked for it in Nyaa. EDIT: It seems someone uploaded a 1080p version this month, but I'm not sure if it's worth it considering it's from a 2004 anime and it weights a ton. Just in case you want to check it out https://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=837919. I think I got the first season from Lililicious, let me see if I can find it. EDIT2: The link I gave to you has the Lililicious version, so you can download it from there. |

| @jimanator Eh don't worry about it, I'm the one that should be apologizing. I'm sure that they're good films on their own but my problem with it is that Berserk (the GA arc in particular) is one of my favorite manga, so watching it animated with horrendous CG and tons of content cut out would kill me on the inside. So @Conde_Mohr sorry for the inconvenience but I'll have to forfeit, I suppose that means I won't be able to participate in future roulettes? Again sorry about this, kind of a dick move on my part but I just can't watch them. |

| @jimanator Perhaps, but you underestimate how much Berserk means to me. It's just a matter of principal really, if I enjoyed something to the nth degree and am fully satisfied with how it was, I don't look at any of its side products which could potentially taint those memories. Yea... It's stupid, but that's just how I think. |

| @Erazmus If you had read the manga and didn't want the anime, you should have said so earlier. Demonarion did that 1 or 2 roulettes ago and I marked it as watched (because he read the original content and he knows the story quite well). Perhaps I should have specified that somewhere, but given your strong feelings about it it's only logical to at least try. I can't be looking at every anime's source(s) and check if you did watch it or not. And that's only considering that it's a manga/LN, and not a game, visual novel or anything else that I have no way of checking. Now I can't do anything for you. Next roulette is hosted by @ftFate, so if you can reach an agreement with him and @jimanator, maybe you can get away with it. Still, if you don't even try it may be more difficult to do, but unless I'm told that I'll host the next one, I wash my hands from this. |

| Well, just finish Isshuukan Friends and like i expected i didn't like it at all... The story was too boring and repetitive, not to mention most of the characters were not that memorable. Plus when the story was starting to go somewhere it just ended like that... I think i might had liked it a bit more if i haven't watched a show with a similar premise recently, but Ef: A Tale of Memories (a anime that i also got from roulette) in less episodes was able to be more emotional and tell a better story than Isshuukan. Maybe i'm being too harsh on the show but i really wasn't a big fan of it, and i think it had the potencial to be a good one.. Hopefully you enjoy it more than me @jimanator On a side note i finally was able to change my username ^^ Hopefully that isn't much of a problem. |

| @Erazmus If you want to play next time, finish Berserk. If you find it that tough to watch, just watch it in the background while doing something else, but at least watch it. If it's something in the pool that you dread watching that much, maybe it's just for the best to take a break for a round, because as we see here, having to watch it becomes a real possibility. @Conde_Mohr I like your rule changes btw, don't know if I've said it before. And mind pm-ing the bbcode for the OP that I can use for the next version? Saves me some time. Not certain about the "if you've read the manga, you're safe from the anime" rule based on how different a lot of adaptions are, but I'll probably keep it, at least in some cases. I'll add two rules (no softcore porn that's essentially hentai minus the rating a la kiss x sis, and nothing that hasn't been subbed already... duh) for next time, but they're only minor, and the second should've been obvious already, just covering a rare corner case. Oh, and in the case someone nominates something everyone else has seen, I'll permanently bar the anime from being nominating and give them a random anime from anidb (or something like that) as long as it fits the rules. I doubt it'll have happen, but just in case (I think like 1-2 people hadn't seen Barakamon already when someone nominated that) |

Not certain about the "if you've read the manga, you're safe from the anime" rule based on how different a lot of adaptions are, but I'll probably keep it, at least in some cases. Just click "quote" and you'll get the code. And about the manga, not all people care, but if you do and you know the original material, I don't think you should get the anime. I mean, I wouldn't want to get, say, Rewrite (even if I didn't have it as dropped) because I already played the VN. Even if the story is a new route, I have more than enough info from the original source to know if I want to watch it or not, and the point of the Roulette is to discover new anime (or to watch something you heard about). ftFate said: I'll add two rules (no softcore porn that's essentially hentai minus the rating a la kiss x sis, and nothing that hasn't been subbed already... duh) for next time, but they're only minor, and the second should've been obvious already, just covering a rare corner case. I think that's a good change, but it's not easy to know if something meets the softcore hentai criteria if you don't know the anime. Also, it should be more clear what "trolling" is, because even if it's not intended, someone might get an anime most people think is bad. Someone suggested me to ban any anime with less than a 7 as a mean MAL score (up until now, I used to look at the personal score and personal mean score to decide if that person was trolling or not), but I'm not entirely sure about that. ftFate said: Oh, and in the case someone nominates something everyone else has seen, I'll permanently bar the anime from being nominating and give them a random anime from anidb (or something like that) as long as it fits the rules. The thing that worries me the most is that some people may have already watched almost all if not all the anime. This time, both Demonarion and zombie_wolf had watched all but 3-4 anime (and that's because I specifically chose my anime so that they hadn't watch it). It didn't prove to be a problem this time, but it could be in the future. By the way, @JohnDowson didn't start his anime, so I leave his ban up to you. |

Since in previous roulettes i submitted already some psychological/horror/action animes i thought it would be nice to submit something "outside the box". Even if the story is a new route, I have more than enough info from the original source to know if I want to watch it or not, and the point of the Roulette is to discover new anime (or to watch something you heard about). Right, the optional part is true. I'll add a note of it in the OP, and if it somehow ends up not working well there's always the option to reconsider or rewrite the rule I think that's a good change, but it's not easy to know if something meets the softcore hentai criteria if you don't know the anime. I'll have to be very lenient on it with anime I haven't seen, but at least I can keep things I've seen that clearly should not be in the roulette out of it. I've looked at people's personal lists in the past as well, and I did say no to someone once, and I'm not sure there's a better out than that. I don't think mean score is the way to go, and I know there's several shows that I'd consider nominating with a score below 7 on MAL. The most optimal choice could be checking personal lists while saying no to any anime that we clearly feel is trolling, but I'm not sure about the last part, since it might be stepping into dangerous territory. My top 50 rule was mainly to prevent that (amongst other things like avoiding unintended mediocre anime like the flavour of the season anime), but you can change it if you think it's not necessary. The thing that worries me the most is that some people may have already watched almost all if not all the anime. It didn't prove to be a problem this time, but it could be in the future. I think the top 50 rule is good, even if some titles there would probably be fine, it's still a good framework. I doubt someone will have seen every anime nominated, but we can always try to nominate stuff people haven't seen to counteract that, but if the day comes up, I'm not certain what to do myself. By the way, @JohnDowson didn't start his anime, so I leave his ban up to you. Didn't you allow 2 months watching now? If he hasn't seen it still until I start the next roulette, 5 months penalty it is. |
