Anime that have historical setting of the time of the kings and how kingdoms are run, good battles in war, etc. Political conflict, but not too much, is welcome. It's been really difficult to find such anime and I am hoping that I could be recommended a few.

An example of something similar would be Arslan Senki.

I would prefer if the main cast is the the royal family and the army.

These are all set in Asian empires, either real or fantasized:

Juuni Kokuki
Hyouge Mono
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Kemono no Sou-ja Erin

And I'll just mention that your choice of color scheme for your list makes it impossible to be read by people like me with red/green colorblindness.

Can you clarify in what manner do you mean. If It's the art, SSs don't work with this anime at all really, and the art overall is improved upon after season 1(and constantly gets better as the series goes on)

Season 1 is pretty crappy, but the rest of the series is pretty damn awesome.

Seeing how season 1=less then 10% of the series, I would say, don't let that scare you away.

It's one of the 3 anime with the most/best character development, snd the scene execution in this anime is pretty much perfection.

Infact the scenes are so high quality, if it wasn't for one major issue, it would be a high end Great, and that's even with the first season being pretty crappy(Nite: the pretty major issue keeping this from being a High end Great, is the "placement" of the scenes, It's common for this anime to interrupt one scene, to show a major flashback scene).

However even with that said, It's still a high end Very Good anime.

Art was one of the reasons along with the synopsis not giving me enough detail.

I'll give it a try next week since its so big.

Any more recommendations you have?

Already watched Akatsuki no Yona and Arslan Senki.

Oda Nobuna's synopsis makes it feel like it's harem. Not exactly what I am looking for. I am looking for a more serious sort of anime.

Also, don't want to watch a single movie. I want it to be either a series of movies or episodes.

And Nobunga the Fool's score is too low.

Sengoku Basara is the one I am interested now since I've got a few recs for it. I will try it soon.

Thanks!

Well It's one of only 2 full blown wuxia series(actually there's seems to be a 3rd one that was created recently, but there's no way to watch it currently) anime ever made, and a lot happens in this extreme evolution of the drama genre, so a Synopsis could never give enough info on such.

Unfortunately nothing else that is "actually good" that revolves specifically around "kings, and War".

Outside the two I mentioned, the next closest thing is Saiunkoku Monogatari, which you said Isn't what you're really looking for.

Also technically The Twelve Kingdoms fits aw well.

I would say watch Sword of Stranger (Mainly cause the animation and for the fight scenes alone makes the entire thing worth it, plus the music.)

Finally I would say Seirei no Moribito. No real war going on per say, but has a decently sized conflict at the end, and some really beautifully animated fight scenes, between spear and swords.
