Jean-Mikasa is the pairing that make sense to me the most.
because I sympathized with Jean.
Eren can go with Annie, but Annie and Armin is better.

but, to be honest, Jean-Armin is good too (I'm not usually pair two male characters, especially when they are not gays)

Speaking if eren survive at the end of the series. I think isayama should do a plot twist. In pairing eren with someone else other than mikasa. Annie or hstoria are good candidates, although it most likely will never happen.

I'm cool with mikasa x eren though I find the paring generic and too predictable, the main character always end up with his childhood friend in most cases which I find to be too repetitive. Jean always like mikasa maybe make mikasa having a crush on him while still being protective of eren would be a interesting situation. It will also make her character way better as well, if she cares for someone other than eren. Armin doesn't count in this, since he's a childhood friend.

From what I've read, according to the author, Eren considers Mikasa a mother figure whom he loves but feels smothered by, and just like kids growing up independent so will he. So the Eren x Mikasa ship is not just sunk, the author is basicly saying he will run nuclear tests on it.
And to be fair, Eren x Mikasa has some cute moments, but I think it's a rather unhealthy relationship and both Eren and in particular Mikasa are way better when they are not around each other. Eren can face the consequences of his actions and fend for himself and Mikasa can show a personality and interactions with others besides the "Eren... Eren... Eren...".

And from chapter 77 we know why Annie spared Armin, it wasn't because she loved Armin, but rather while she had steeled her heart to kill the scouting legion, having to kill Armin, someone she knew personally, would remind her of having to kill Marco. This time she had a choice and took the riskier route. That and she didn't kill anyone that didn't put up arms against her, like when she ran between the 2 veterans close to Armin.

So my guess is Eren x Annie is more likely if there is even a pair involving any of those 2 characters; there is mutual respect and lots of interaction between them, and the author said she has some feelings for him, while Eren didn't show hate towards her even after she was shown as the Female Titan, as Opaquanity perfectly said.
If it happens though, the biggest elephant in the room is how will the Scouting Legion offer her to side with them; I think Annie is already closer to the 104th than to her own village, where maybe she and her father are already outcasts from, but the Scouting Legion faith in her currently is way below zero.

Anyway they are young kids, they don't need to be thinking about romantic relationships 24/7... maybe if there is a timeskip to a time when they are young adults we will get some development there.

I just came here to point out I had read that the author himself says that for Eren, Mikasa's presence is like a mother to him, and he will start to grow up when he becomes independent from her. I offered some conclusions about Armin based on the latest chapter, which I guess page 3 would be too ancient to take into account.

And no, as much as I like the rest of the story, I don't care about SNK ships and shipping wars enough to read through 12 pages of it, but GL with your ship, even if it looks like it got BTFO.

And I've read this whole thread a few times and I know what you're referencing on page 3. MikasaxEren is a diehard shipper fan, but annoying in his attempts to water people down who think differently than him with essays on a ship. I ship ErenxAnnie and love to write on them but I don't say 'Go die' or 'That ship is horrible' when someone ships something else. ^^ In the end I'm just satisfied with whatever makes Annie happy after all- if she ends up alone and she's happy with it, then I'm happy too. ^^

I really don't know...it makes me sad to think of everything she went through and how she might not get to see her father again. But I pray Isayama doesn't break my heart and let's her have some form of happiness at least. I've never liked a character so much and it worries me. ^^

And for Mikasa, Isayama better give her more dialogue. She doesn't talk to the others much and its so annoying for me- like Isayama you have a badass character, give her some more development and let her talk with other characters, let us see inside her head and see her point of view for once. Let us see her emotions, let us see her smile, be proud, etc.

I'm a bit scared because Isayama also said he wasn't going to develop Mikasa further, which sounds like a deathflag, but on the other hand she shows a very interesting personality when she isn't around Eren: protective, brave, with strong values, a bit mean and with a trollish sense of humour. Maybe if there is some distance between the two we will see more of it.

EDIT: Besides, a bit of distance could help them form a stronger bond later on, when both have stronger and more centered personalities, it's a bit cliche but if done right it's quite a nice story.

I think pretty much the whole 104th trainees deserve a happy ending, they have suffered and been terrorized several lifetimes worth, and they are only teenagers. Historia's life sucked horribly, Ymir was titanized for 60 years, Connie lost his whole family, Mikasa lost her parents twice, etc. Worst of all the titan trio, who not only have faced the same hardships or worse, they even were forced to stain their hands with innocent blood and at least in case of Annie, feels like she is on the side of evil (Reiner and Bertholt seem to belive in their mission to some extent).

I have a theory for Mikasa's obsession with Eren, but it's horribly dark and more to do with her bloodline than normal love. I really hope for her sake I'm wrong.

That Mikasa and Levi pairing you mention... Levi is more than twice her age and she is underage... that's just wrong. Same with Eren.

Christa x Reiner: a fake personality of Reiner is in love with a fake personality of Historia, while neither Christa nor Historia give two shits about him... And true Reiner might be onto Bert if what he said in Castle Utgard was true... So dunno how that pairing is cute but to each their own :P

It's interesting how they are still kids and developing a personality; Historia grew a backbone, Jean became heroic, Eren calmed down, Mikasa let others in, Ymir now cares for Historia as well as for herself, Armin became rather ruthless, Bert stopped being passive and Annie's fake apathetic persona crumbled down, and we have yet to see how she really behind her façade.
As such, most of the pairings people ship will no longer make much sense towards the series end.

That being said, I would like a Mikasa x Annie bromance, not romantic I mean, I bet their interactions would be hilarious.

I don't think he's sunk this ship just yet. And by 'mother figure', he most likely didn't mean to imply their was some sort of incestuous vibe to their couple either (after all, Eren did tell Mikasa multiple times in the beginning of the series that he didn't want her to treat like her child nor her little brother). Re-reading the last paragraph, it seems more like a form of analogy than anything else: Mikasa's been loving and taking care of him since they were children, and the one woman in his life who'd been filling this role up until the Shiganshina invasion was his mother. So it's only natural for Eren to draw parallels between the two of them.
Keep the ship afloat m8 !

OT: @Opaquanity pretty much summed up all the reasons why I'm a huge fan of Annie x Eren, and I would add that aside from the mutual feelings of respect and their friendship/mentor-student relationship, what appeals to me the most is the ridiculous amount of chemistry they have with each other. Whether it's in human or titan form, a simple conversation or a fight, each of their encounters and interactions are filled with so much sexual tension you could almost touch it. Plus, that might juste be my impression, but Annie did seem to be acting pretty flirtatious with Eren during their training (she probably just teased him so he would feel even more uncomfortable, but still). The very peculiar, physical nature of their relationship is kindof what makes me put Annie x Eren over the other potential candidates like Mikasa or even Historia, even though I'm 80% convinced the whole ship sunk in chapter 32.

That being said, in the light of both Mikasa and Eren's progress as characters, I'm totally down for these two ending up together, even though this is not my preferred couple and like @keragamming said, it would actually be nice if Isayama could subvert our expectations and pair Eren up with someone other than her (if romance ever becomes a concern, ofc).
If that were indeed to happen (and if Ymir doesn't come back to steal Historia away and marry her and adopt orphans with her and live happily forever after with her, which i will never forgive Isayama for), then Eren x Historia would be my favorite pick. Eren shared a crucial moment and a turning point of his life as a young man with Historia, which neither Mikasa (nor Armin) will ever be part of. Add to that the fact that their respective character arcs were like mirror images of each other; ying yang, black and white, emptiness and fullness, freedom and servitude, all that shit... And you have the fanfictions practically writing themselves. Although in my opinion, Historia and Eren's relationship is purely platonic atm (and I'm still hoping Ymir and Historia will meet each other again before it all ends), the author wouldn't have to put in too much work to turn it into a solid couple.

Meh, who am I fooling anyway? At the end of the day, I'm just a dirty Eremin shipper.
