Hi there :)

So lately i've been watching Some Deep Romance/Tragedy Anime and im looking for more , it would be great if you folks suggest me Something Really Sad or Atleast Something With Super Sad Ending i know i sound ridiculous but i just love this stuff =\ , My List Is Updated So you can See Which ones i watched or haven't ... And Few Anime That i really enjoyed watching :

Plastic Memories ( it was More Than Sad , Something Died inside me ! loved it ! , Good Example For Romance/Tragedy Genre )
Akame ga Kill ( all i remember is : i was crying like a god damn baby )
Angel Beats ( oh Maeda jun ... you're the best )
Clannad And Clannad AF ( oh boy ... )
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso ( was Watching the Black Screen for 1 hour after ending )
White Album 2 ( Good Example For Romance/Tragedy Genre )
Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai! ( i know its a comedy anime but i really really enjoyed the Tragic part of the story )

Thanks For Your Time :)

Texhnolyze
Serial Experiments Lain

Obviously you should start with Texhnolyze and if Texhnolyze offers you all you need, you can also watch Lain and Haibane Renmei. If you want to see a deep, dark tragedy; I can guarantee you that Texhnolyze won’t disappoint you.

Aria: The Animation (people say the sequels are better but I haven't seen em. It's mostly SoL and comedy but it has some dramatic moments)

Giovanni no Shima/Giovanni's Island (War-drama from the PoV of a family/two children who lives on an island which got taken over by russian forces)

H2O: Footprints in the Sand (Romance/drama)

Hotaru no Haka/grave of the fireflies (similar to Giovanni no Shima, but I like Giovanni no shima more than this one)

Isshuukan Friends

Kannagi

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

I also second Grudge on Texhnolyze, Serial Experiments Lain and Haibane Renmei.

+1 Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal)

Ano Natsu is not deep and it's not sad unless the ending is mis-understood.
Aria is about the last thing from sad or deep I could think of.
Avatar: Anzu Kadotani from Girls und Panzer.

For a romance anime with a tragic ending, I would suggest

Kumo no You ni, Kaze no You ni(It's only a movie though)

Aside from that, Ark(2005 movie), has a pretty sad ending as well)
.

Hmm you may have dropped Anohana, but I highly suggest you finish it. The ending ruined me.

Also +1 to Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Was not expecting it to be nearly as heart breaking as it was. Got destroyed.

If you want something really deep and sad you must try again AnoHana! I don't know what happened that you coused to drop it, but it is a masterpiece. And about its sadness, I almost cried in the first ep.

I'd honestly suggest this, but how sad you find it probably depends on how closely you connect to the characters since Satou is written in a fairly realistic manner for his situation, albiet a bit overexaggerated at times.

If you're looking for a series with immense depth, I'd recommend Shinsekai Yori. It's not so much a drama series as it is a thriller, but it's also a coming-of-age set in a post-apocalyptic society, with a bit of romance. It starts of slow but has a lot of tragic undertones and the ending is depressing enough, I suppose.

+1 to AnoHana, although the ending isn't that sad tbh, but it's still worth a watch.

Thats a good choice, Im about to tell you to give it another chance but you already decided to watch it hehe.

Hayami Saori as one of the VA's, plus the soundtracks are amazing especially the ED.
