| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I just couldn't wait so I read the raws. I didn't understand anything BUT THERE WAS BEAUTIFUL MOCHIJUN COMEDY AND ARTWORK AND BISHONEN. It seems to be darker than chapter 1 of Pandora Hearts. MC seems badass, and looks like Leo and Alice/Lacie's love child to me. I'll edit this after I read the scanlated versions. Summary of chapter 1 (from tumblr): Edit: so I ended up buying the Yen Press copy. Putting aside how depressed I am for spending $4 on one digital chapter of manga, the actual chapter itself was amazing. Vanitas and Noe are such goofballs~ I love them. Vanitas reminds me a bit of Alice and Gil. Noe reminds me a bit of Alice and Gil as well. The artwork was great, as expected of Mochijun. The last page seems like a big spoiler... obviously there's no way it's that simple though. I'm looking forward to this!! but I really don't want to spend $4 every month, I already buy light novels from Yen Press |

| I just read the Yen Press version. So Vanitas is healing Vampires and he teams up with Noé after the girl was taken care of. I really liked the foreshadowing at the end of the chapter that Noé is going to kill Vanitas at some point in the future. |
| Too early to say something and to judge manga by the first chapter, but I would say that the drawing is fantastic as usual. Can't wait the second chapter! |

| Great artwork, interesting plot so far, cool action scenes and the characters we've been introduced to all seem pretty likable......The monologue on the last few pages really caught my interest though In short, I loved it and I will definitely be following this straight through since I joined the Pandora Hearts game so late (Never actually got to discuss the manga here but oh well) |
| Omg those last few pages. The characters were really as we expected: looking cool but they are all dorks in some way, haha. Really missed Mochizuki Jun~ Great that the manga started out with close to 80 pages. x3 Super excited to see what happens here on out. I'm waiting for some super messed up developments, hehehe. |

| As expected of Mochijun, I'm already loving it. It's just like her to think of this kind of elaborate setting / world. Personally, I thought it was introduced pretty well. |

| As always, the mangaka's art is absolutely gorgeous. A little more extravagant than I was expecting, but understandably so. Mochizuki's style has evolved beautifully since her debut. Like the detail on the full view of the airship - wow. Looking forward to more beautiful scenery like that in the story. Story-wise, I'm really liking it so far. Vanitas definitely has some hidden motives for helping the vampires. And that ominous final statement... Looks like this is being set up as a tragedy... or is it? |

| This chapter was great! I can tell Mochizuki is setting up for another tragic but amazing story. I got chills reading the last few pages. That foreshadowing... just wow. I definitely got the impression that she has everything exactly planned out this time. Pandora Hearts had a major shift in focus and art style from beginning to end, but this story looks like it'll be much tighter. I think the fact that she told the reader exactly where the manga is going sets it up in every way as a tragedy. I feel like I can guess how the ending will play out, but if there's anything I've learned from reading Mochizuki's earlier works, it's that the plot twists are going to be crazy. I'm already incredibly intrigued by the characters and the world. I can't freaking wait to see more!! |

Oh yes, this needs an anime with Yuki Kajiura's soundtracks. I can tell from the first chapter if they make it it'd be amazing (of course I still hope that Pandora Hearts will get a remake or something). Vanitas is so crazy and hyperactive I already like him. Noe seems like a good guy and I really find interesting the whole 'true name' thing. Of course there are many Crimson Shell and Pandora Hearts themes present in an eloquent way and that makes it all that much better. | Interesting first chapter! I can't wait to follow this series and see where it goes. I'm hoping I'll fall in love with more of Mochizuki's characters, so she can break my heart again. Excited about the steampunk French setting too! |
| Pretty mediocre start, I've seen better more intriguing first chapters. I'm not a fan of vampire stories. Art is great, though. |

| I just read the chapter from the link here and I really liked the manga! Vampire is not my cup of tea but I'm sure Jun will give us a great story! the art is just so perfect as usual!!! I wonder if someone know something about a subbing group who is willing to sub this manga? since I can't buy it from Yen Press at the moment! it's such a waste that no fan subbing group going to sub this? I don't want to suffer every month on finding the leaked version on the internet >< |

From where I come from, I highly doubt that the translated books will hit the stores here. This manga started serialization like a week ago, there aren't even any volumes released in Japan. You can buy the English chapter digitally |

| you can buy it for 3$ on amazon! kindle edition ok I have a question, not sure if I understand it correctly, but does every vampire have remains of True Names? "true names are vampires' lives" but is it like..passing your life to another being? and deceased vampires live in one body with newborn vampires? or is it more like soul of vampire? bc on last pages it looked like Noe has his own True Name....SO MANY QUESTIONS I really cant wait for next chapters, i hope we'll get more details asap. |

| As expected I freaking love the setting, it reminds me of the steampunk series (the visual novels) from Sakurai Hikaru. I find it a bit anticlimactic to tell in the first chapter how the series will end but I don't mind it that much. The characters are interesting and the art is top notch. Looking forward to more. |
| Okay, so I finally read the chapter. As expected of Mochizuki, the art is gorgeous. The characters I've seen already seem interesting, fun, and unique. The execution of the setting and plot were great. I was worried about vampires, but Mochizuki already has put several creative twists on them. Basically, this looks awesome and I'm really excited to see more of it. The last page should have had a spoiler warning ;-; But it's okay, it will add an entirely different feeling of tension to the whole series. Also: Vanitas, honey, you look way too crazy here for anyone to believe that. |
