Interesting info from Comptiq (Dec 2015) about the past and future of F/GO:
- FGO's scenario is at least 300 kb long. Sakurai apparently wrote a long scenario, which Nasu kept and even ended up adding to Higashide's. Nasu's hand in FGO was mostly in writing the prologue and epilogue of each chapter, and editing/adding to the scenario and dialogue.
- Higashide was in charge of Chapter 1 (Orleans), but the exchanges between Marie, Sanson, and Mozart were written by Nasu.
- Each writer was in charge of creating a different character. Marie was Sakurai, Sanson was Higashide, and Mozart was Nasu.
- Sakurai was in charge of Chapter 2 (Rome). She mentions that she was unsatisfied with it because of the constraints of a mobile game.
- Higashide's favorite Servant is Siegfried. Nasu told him "your Siegfried is creepy" because he was Lv 50 while the rest were at 30-40. Sakurai's favorite Servant is Arash. She puts Kaleidoscope on him to nuke enemies and bring out a back row Servant.
- The Halloween event was supposed to have a longer story, with more characters.
- A part where Lancer and Caster Cu showed up in the same scene was cut out, for example.
- Sakurai will be in charge of Chapter 4 (London). A character from Fate/Extra will be the main Servant. The name was not revealed. The name was censored with 6 characters, so it may not be Tamamo. Speculation includes Andersen, Robin Hood, Meltlilith, and Arcueid. (Looking at NeoGAF, Pixiv and GameFAQS comment about who's the main servant is, read "Note" below here).
- Sakurai says FGO's story is only at about 20%, so there's still a lot to look forward to.
Notes and speculation
- A lot of people speculate who is the main protagonist of London stage and the character comes from Fate/Extra. Andersen, Meltlilith, Robin Hood, and Arcueid have name with six characters including romanji, kanji and hiragana. However, if this main servant of next chapter turns out to be true by many fans speculate, it's EMIYA. There are lot of clues about Fate/Extra's main servant:
1) London stage has "gear icon". It may or could be refers to Emiya's UBW.
2) Archer used to be main protagonist of Fate/Extra & Fate/Extra CCC. Despite his real name in F/E is "No Name". The key is "main Fate/Extra's servant". The biggest problem is, the character name has six characters.
3) All main servants are always gold servant, 4-5*, Emiya is one of them. Unless DW trolls us "Oh bronze servant can be main servant too". Mind you, Jeanne, Nero and Drake are gold servants and main servants. Surprisingly, Arturia Pendragon was listed as "potential as main protagonist of London stage" for several reasons.
4) Archer, well as Emiya Shirou btw, study in the Mage's Association in London before.
- Speaking of London stage, it seems we'll get more unreleased servants aren't implemented yet but we had seen their sprites, all according to data mining. Hence London stage has gear icon and "knight" in it's Grand Order name, which means we'll see Nikola Tesla, Charles Babbage, Frankenstein's monster, Scathach, Henry Jekyll, Arjuna, Mordred, Arturia Alter Lancer, Brynhildr, Da Vinci, Paracelsus, Jack The Ripper, and Nursery Rhyme.
- DW had confirmed that Tamamo will be added in the gacha when they're going to add fourth chapter in next future. A lot of people confused when they thought chapter 4 is Okeanos chapter. Actually, Okeanos is third chapter, while London is fourth chapter you are looking for.
- Previous chapters had France vs Dragon theme, Rome Rebellion theme and Pirate vs Greek theme. It seems London chapter's theme is going to be Knight vs Mad scientist theme.
- Each one GO chapter will give you special reward when you completed the stage: Free 3* servant. So far three (or four, including Ruler) classes left to go, Saber, Lancer & Assassin. Archer David, Rider Bouddica, Berserker Kiyohime and Caster Cu were taken the spotlight. Which means Mordred, Brynhildr, Henry Jekyll, Jack or Scathach, who's going to be free reward servant in London chapter. Henry Jekyll seems and has potential to be 3* servant though.
- Rome chapter is the most weakest chapter, and it was written by Sakurai Hikaru herself. Sadly this is true, Rome chapter had three playable story servants (Nero, Bouddica & Jing Ke), characters lack their character development (It isn't that sad Bouddica?) and poorly written chapter. It's kinda long story, a lot of fans especially at Twitter, comment about how weak Rome chapter is. No wonder Orleans chapter had a lot of memorable scenes than Rome's.
For those who don't know, Higashide is Apocrypha's author while Sakurai is Fragments' author.
Personally my money is on Gawain. EMIYA seems far fetched. Gawain just fits London much more.
